For years the BBC has told us it is independent, impartial, and free from government interference. They were very proud of that line.
Now the Telegraph reports that 39 civil servants have been placed inside BBC

We are compelled by law to fund the BBC if we watch live television or use BBC iPlayer. In return, the absolute minimum we should expect is independence from government.
Instead, serving civil servants were embedded inside BBC News and BBC Verify, working on small boats, migration and Covid.
That is a disgrace. Publish everything. Investigate it properly. No excuses.

So that’s like you paying for a Burger King, Pizza Express and KFC, then for no reason McDonalds charge you too even though you didn’t go there.
