A thread of 2A citations. Most are 18th/19th century cites showing 2A to be an individual Right, but some are 20th century and some show the militia to be comprised of all citizens and some are oddballs. Starting with: the militia isn't just American.. xitter.cf/2aHistory/status/16381…
Another history tidbit on English militia practices of late 18th century & earlier. 1) Not just a "colonist" thing that militias existed. 2) Wasn't necessary for militia members to actively muster & train. 3) It was common to keep arms in homes. Militias of London - 1782

You can now find all six of the SAF factsheets I've created, and any that get posted in the future, on this page. These are useful references for some of the most common topics that arise in the gun policy debate, with many more to come. They all include their sources so you can check my work. So far we've covered: 1. How antigunners were hilariously wrong on all of their post-Bruen predictions of doom; 2. How California adds huge expense to exercising the Second Amendment; 3. Debunking the "leading cause of death for kids" stat the antigunners love to cite; 4. How Americans with carry permits are the most law-abiding demographic around; 5. A one-pager comparing the proposed burdens of the SAVE Act (called "Jim Crow 2.0" by its opponents) with the much more severe burdens of getting a carry permit in New York City; 6. How murder has fallen faster in the US than in Canada, even though they banned handgun sales while we expanded carry rights. saf.org/just-the-facts/

Debate me Jake.
As a Marine and dad, I’m voting Yes on 9 to keep assault weapons off our streets.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
It is federally illegal per 18usc922 to have a firearm, including a stripped lower, from being shipped to your house. What he has shown, is already a federal felony and has been for nearly 60 years. law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18…

Organizing my cache of gun parts, doing some oiling where necessary, labeling them.. And realized I'm using my dad's gun oil that I grabbed when I got his deer rifle. The oil can is probably early 70's, and still quite full. Now feeling nostalgic. To all who went before🫡

In 1774, the Minute Men formed in Massachusetts. To fight tyranny. With personally owned weapons of war. In 2026, Massachusetts says nobody is allowed to resist future tyranny. Massachusetts has become General Gage.

"Hello, this is Jake from the gov't here to violate your Rights. It's okay though, just like Benedict Arnold, I'm a veteran of the US military."

But the only thing France achieves by disarming their citizens, is huge numbers of dead Frenchman.
Every day we are fighting to prevent French stats from looking like this.

"You don't shoot looters with machineguns" 1) You don't know your history. 2) People have been shot for far less. 3) Doesn't have to be machineguns. 4) Batons? Pfffft... Looting ranks up with home invasions.
You absolutely don't want or need this kind of weapon in that situation. In a 10/7 situation yes yes yes. In a Mohammed Merah situation yes yes yes. You don't shoot looters with machine guns. Allo the shopkeepers to band together to hire a private police that will actually fight. With batons. And there can be a second line with guns if they fail to hold the line. But they don't go first. No one will get looted.

The world needs more Rooftop Koreans.. not private police forces with "batons". There's no need for any person to be injured by looters. Just as there's no need for any person to be injured by a home invader in person-person combat. Solve it... "from a distance".

In today's edition of: "Why would anybody need more than 10 rounds?"

Gun Control advocates ABSOLUTELY adopted the term "assault weapon" to mean scary black semiauto guns. HUNDREDS of different weapons had been considered assault weapons prior to Gun Control groups adopting it. I've got so many examples from bows and arrows up to nukes..
Gun Control advocates did not invent the phrase. Gun magazines as far back as the 60s were calling semi-auto assault rifles "assault weapons"

The fact that somebody used the term for scary black guns inside the gun industry doesn't mean the gun industry redefined the term to ONLY MEAN SCARY BLACK GUNS. Didn't happen. They also called SBG (Scary Black Guns) assault rifles, incorrectly, sometimes. Plumbing..

"Nobody needs to own assault weapons! They should all be banned!" So they say. What were "assault weapons" before the media manufactured the term? Pretty much anything. Nobody's taking MY assault bows! 1979: Canada's Guns: An Illustrated History of Artillery

I can't count how many times I've had Europeans in the last month ask why the USA still has the 2nd Amendment. "It's from the 1700's! Maybe it was needed then, but it's not needed now!" And.. well.. They provided an example. Poor folks, screwed over by the gov't. All Alone.
Si la police protège trop les gros centres urbains contre les looters, ils vont s'intéresser aux périphéries urbaines et attaquer les résidences privées.

Here we have a true Genius. With a capital "G". Says the 1994 drop in homicides was due to the federal Assault Weapons Ban. Even tho: 1) Semiauto rifles were never banned, only cosmetic features on them 2) Only 2% or so of murders ever involved scary black guns "G"enius
because that period also had shitty economics and higher drug use, genius. see the huge drop-off starting in 1994? better economics and the Federal Assault Weapons ban

Tho that whole thread was started by another genius.. Who wants to tell him that the 30% of states with lowest murder rates every year is dominated by states with high gun ownership and few gun laws? I don't think he knows this.
