From the work ‘Home Herbarium Specimens’. A close up of a single pressed specimen of Linum usitatissimum, (flax), mid bloom. Five thin green stems stretch from the bottom left to the centre and right. All stalks have a seed-head of yellow, with only one in flower, the petals flattened out of shape. The flax flower is a pale colour purple-blue.

The root of the stalk, on the left is fuzzy, whilst the stalk has some visible leafy barbs that run the entire length. At the opposing end of the stalk there are several branching stems of flowering and bloomed flax flowers. Developing seed heads are yellow, whilst the flowers are a pale purple-blue.

Lost glasses 🤓☹️ Can anyone help and RT please. I cycled around today on my excercise, from Granton though Inverleith park into Stockbridge, then the New Town. Somewhere over the cobbles my glasses fell out of my pocket. If anyone has found or given them in give me a shout. Ta
