One of my favourite Mo Salah videos. Sums up his Liverpool career... Nobody could get near him.

Seen a few comments moaning that Brighton had more of the ball & passed it better. One, they're a good side that's absolutely flying. Two, I've been waiting to see us grit our teeth & defend like our lives depend on it for a while. Delighted with that clean sheet.

We were without ekitike & munoz today. The front line is sorted for years. They all look happy to switch sides, all look dangerous anywhere. Add a midfielder & look at fullback in January & this could be a very exciting season. We're not as far off as some suggest.

Had to dig in and defend at times, but we showed real commitment to get a clean sheet. Neither performance was perfect, but beating Brentford & Brighton is never easy. Momentum starting to build.

We've looked lethal on the counter, full of pace & quality. Florian Wirtz has been outstanding. Some exceptional passing. Still look a little too easy to create against & have needed a bit of luck not to concede. Though Brighton are a good side. More goals in this.

Great block by Jacquet. And who doesn't love to see a defender lunging his head at a forward's foot while lying on the floor like araujo did. Total commitment.

Those 100m players are just starting to look like the real deal. That Barcola pace & Isak finish scream quality.

Bit of luck along the way but great work by araujo. The Wirtz renaissance continues.

Funny how football works out sometimes. We were all devastated about losing out on guehi... Now he looks like a punch drunk liability whilst Jacquet struts around majestically like he was born to lead our backline for a decade.

Rio looked completely lost on the right a few weeks ago. Complete fish out of water. The fact he's putting in a MOTM performance out there so quickly shows his ability to evolve. Think he's gonna be special.

Delighted for Wirtz. We've all given him shit at times but he has made a difference since coming on. Hopefully, this is the start of growing confidence & consistent performances.

Have to remind myself how young Rio still is. We get accustomed to players very quickly but what he's doing isn't normal. Outstanding player we have on our hands. Can't take it for granted.

Not sure how that happened. So poor up until our goal. Gotta defend better but this game is there for the winning.

Tsimikas playing them all on. We're just a bit shite aren't we?

Virgil tried earlier to give them the lead. Succeeded this time. Really poor start from the captain.

It's a win at a really tough place to go. That's the main take away. We had (& needed) some serious help along the way. Not a polished performance but we desperately needed a result so I'm taking it all day long.

Amongst all the 100m superstars, munoz at 35m is proving to be the bargain gem.

No excuses for not getting back into this now. Iraola needs to earn his wage by getting the most out of that extra man.

I've waited longer at a McDonald's drive through than we did for Barcola to fire...

We need to take wirtz out for a little bit. He ran his legs off again but it's just not happening for him. Bounces off him & picks the wrong option too often. Confidence is obviously shot. Stick Szobo at 10 for the next few.

Disappointed by the red card, it was beyond soft. But also really disappointed how we've fallen apart so quickly. Need to deal with adversity much, much better.
