It’s a cute interaction, but we know what Heechul is trying to say here :)
Because actually, even when they are grateful to new ELFs, the members don’t like questions like this. It kind of puts them in an uncomfortable position, questioning themselves if it is still proper to be called “oppa” by younger ELFs in this age bracket. Heechul mentioned once that he wants to ban this question but new fans must like it so he can’t do anything about it.

Argue well, reconcile well
To understand the relationship between the two, perhaps it's necessary to start with some seemingly trivial details. Having known each other for so long, they have been openly honest with each other for a long time.
Kim Heechul recalled an incident from a long time ago.
At that time, they had a fierce conflict at Incheon Airport, as he put it, "a big fight." In the chaos, Leeteuk said through tears, "I only have you as a friend."
"The moment I heard those words, I thought, I'll stand by him for life." Kim Heechul recalled this as if stating a conclusion that had long been validated by time, "At that time, I really loved to have fun, to go out and have fun everywhere." From then on, I decided that I would support Leeteuk no matter what."
Leeteuk's reaction to this incident was completely different. He said he won't deliberately think about things like "for life," but simply felt that since they've walked together for about twenty-five years, they should be able to continue doing so in the future.
Regarding fights, Kim Heechul felt, "Probably no other group has fought as many times as SUPER JUNIOR, arguing, fighting and making up, making up and arguing, fighting again." In his view, arguing/fighting isn't a crack in the relationship, but rather its the way relationships breathe.
As Leeteuk said, "Argue properly, and make up properly." This means they have enough trust to withstand conflict, that they have the willingness and ability to mend after every argument, and that they aren't afraid to expose their true emotions to each other, even if its anger and disappointment.
This is perhaps the subtle give and take between them, and the reason they've gotten to where they are today. Time always filters out companions on its long journey, the glitz fades, the excitement dissipates, and those friends who remain, are perhaps not because they are perfect, but because they chose to stay no matter what.
