First email under new #LittleFreeLibrary leader: “More than 30 million adults cannot read, write, or do basic math above a third-grade level. The impact on our kids, economy, and society is far-reaching and is expanding. “

Also while in Hamtramck, I stopped by @HatchArt. But its #littlefreelibrary is undergoing a touch up. So I left some copies of “Night Night, Zoo” with gallery coordinator Chris Schneider. 😀 #bedtimestories #summerreading #detroitlittlelibraries

“Night Night, Zoo” by @amyparker, now in the hands of Detroit children. Thank you, @amyparker! #bedtimestories #kidlit #summerreading #detroitlittlelibraries

While at Zussman Park in Hamtramck, many moms were there with their children, playing outside on a beautiful night in Detroit. I offer them copies of “Night Night, Zoo.” @amyparker #bedtimestories #kidlit #summerreading #detroitlittlelibraries

Some of the advance copies of “Night, Night Zoo,” found their way into the #LittleFreeLibrary in Zussman Park, across from Hamtramck City Hall. @amyparker #bedtimestories #kidlit #summerreading

Now popping up in the #LittleFreeLibrary all over Detroit: Advance copies of @amyparker’s “Night, Night Zoo!” Thanks, Amy! #BedtimeStories #kidlit #summerreading #detroitlittlelibraries

#LittleFreeLibrary, Detroit.

There’s another #littlefreelibrary on the planet, in Detroit’s Warrendale neighborhood. 7400 Greenview! Check it out! #MakeitwithMenards @EndGrainDetroit

So honored to have been nominated for a Todd H. Bol Award for Outstanding Achievement awards, named for the late founder to honor volunteer stewards who are making positive impact on their communities. Thanks for the nomination!!!
