This is what happens when ideologues co-opt gaming and force it to be political.
Get these loser fucks OUT of the industry.
Make a game.
Sell the game.
The END.
Celeste and TowerFall are leaving Xbox over a political boycott to Microsoft
Maddy Thorson, creator of both indie games, confirmed that they have been removed from the Xbox store in support of the BDS movement, which calls for a boycott of Microsoft over its ties to Israel.
Earlier this month, the creators of Big Walk also confirmed they would not release their game on Xbox because of the boycott.

Gears of War E-Day is coming out in a few more days, and it's not looking good, as people have found instances of LGBTQ propoganda.
This is a textbook: "How to Kill Your Game" 101.
As others say, it's a canary in the coal mine. Putting woke/DEI propaganda into the game means they are not confident that the game will stand on its own merit in terms of gameplay, story, and game mechanics... and of course, how can we forget that Trans developer Kate Rayner.
There have been VERY FEW games where these kinds of things were added, and the game was still very good... and already there are some red flags about the game according to early reviews from various outlets if you read between the lines.
They say that there is open-world fatigue where the game's semi-open exploration is tedious and it disrupts the pacing of combat and gameplay.
The story feels half-baked, focusing too much on emotional bonds between the characters that feel misplaced, especially when the franchise was built on stoic, hardened characters.
Larger enemies don't react to gunfire, and many of them are undynamic bullet sponges, which makes combat 'less fun'.
On consoles like the Xbox Series S, there are a lot of performance issues and frame drops, especially when there are a lot of effects on the screen.
Another complaint is that there will be missing features at launch, making the game feel unfinished, hinting at later large patches that "finish the game".
The only highlights are the visuals and graphics fidelity, but some of them are saying it's too cluttered and feels hard to focus on the core gameplay, and you end up fighting the camera, the effects, and the environment more than fighting the enemy.
So far, it sounds like the game is suffering from the classic case of "style over substance".
Now the mainstream critics are calling it a "return to form"... hmmm, where else have we heard that? Yet another red flag of the game failing.

I'm old enough to remember how gaming was before the PlayStation was around. Games came with posters, manuals, maps and sometimes even shirts and books. There was a friendly rivalry that focused on fun and giving us value. Consoles actually went DOWN in price when they got old. When a new console came out the older games were sold for pennies on the dollar. Games were quality and came out at a fast clip. And most importantly, Nintendo and Sega tried their best to make us loyal customers by putting people before profit. I'm ready to go back to that. Their downfall cant come fast enough.

It’s now clear that, after announcing the end of physical game discs in 2028, Sony wants a fully digital future where you don’t own what you buy, you just simply rent a license which can be removed when they want
A few days ago, Sony removed hundreds of movies from people’s accounts even though they had paid for them. This is what will happen one day to your games, they will remove whatever they want.
Of course, I don’t expect games to become cheaper. Even though they will save money by no longer producing discs, cases, printed materials, or shipping physical copies, they will charge the same or more.
This is the future they’re want, one where you own nothing and be happy. Physical games will be soon become a thing of the past.
Keep all your physical games, don’t sell them, they might become real treasures one day.

This is the most stupid thing I've seen
GTAVI:
- will NOT release on PC this year
- will be sold for $80
- is a digital-ONLY release
I know mfers in here are obsessed with Rockstar, but nothing about this release makes sense, and it's a huge L
Worst possible way to release such an anticipated game
We incorrectly stated that PlayStation Plus is required for local co-op splitscreen play. Local splitscreen co-op requires a PlayStation account for each player but does not require a PlayStation Plus account.

It’s an escape when life is difficult.
A temporary distraction.
A way to connect with friends across the world.

IGN 9/10 must mean something different because their ratings don't align with reality.
The struggling game Marathon gets a 9.
The flop Veilgard gets a 9.
Meanwhile, an older game, ARC raiders was way more concurrent players...
And a 11-year-old single-player game, Fallout 4, still has almost the current concurrent player base numbers as Marathon.
They rated Crimson Desert a 6, and it is breaking records for a South Korean-produced game.
They rated Wukong an 8/10 when it had one of the fastest sales to 10 million in just 3 days.
Anyone who still trusts IGN live in a delusion.
Seriously IGN, WTF is wrong with you?
They just dropped their final review score for Marathon. 9/10, a month after launch.
Crimson Desert final score after a week of time? 6
Why did they give Marathon an extra month? You know why.
Game journos are actually racist.

Starting to think Crimson Desert’s open world may be one of the greatest open worlds ever designed, rivaling Skyrim and Red Dead 2
The amount of unique structures I’ve come across has been ridiculous and this is just in Hernand alone, the sense of discovery is amazing.
