I have my friends and I have my family. And nobody else will ever get to count me as being on their side.

If you think Midtown Manhattan in the afternoon is much, much sketchier than it used to be, you're right thebiggerapple.manhattan.ins…
I’m not a huge NBA fan, but I’ve never heard of this guy in my entire life? 250 racks for this?
There a lot of new companies that are offering some flavor of “reading your employees chats and then taking X action” where X is compliance, health benefits, morale, whatever.
I really can’t believe GOP TX sweep is only priced at 30% on Polymarket. Dems have ~0% chance of winning Governor? My boots on the ground reporting I’m not terribly bullish on Talarico… +EV imo
I don't want to be too harsh on Denver, a city I know very well, but I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend it.
It's not a bad city in the grand scheme of American cities. In fact, among the sprawling, car-dependent metros that dominate much of the country, it's one of the better ones. But it *is* mostly sprawl, public transit is very limited, and downtown is still relatively small and dead at night. Traffic is also a major problem.
There are a lot of cities like this in the US, and Denver is one of the better ones, but it's objectively not great if you're looking for a real urban experience. And worse, because it is one of the better sprawly metros, with high incomes, housing is also very expensive.
So if you want a nice place in the suburbs with plenty of sunshine, reasonably close to the mountains (though it's still a bit of a drive, they're not right next door), and relatively numerous white-collar job opportunities, it's a good choice. But don't expect anything like Chicago, Philly, DC, Boston, or even Seattle. It's much closer to a cross between Atlanta and Minneapolis.

I think it’s cool that Zach Bryan makes country music about the west side highway and soho and stuff like that. This country has changed a lot since I was a kid

Nearly every phone and computer on Earth relies on one plain-text file to know what time it is.
When a country changes its clocks with a few weeks’ notice, or Morocco pauses daylight saving for Ramadan, someone has to update that file. Since 02005, that someone has been Paul Eggert, a computer science professor at UCLA, who does it as a volunteer.
