if you genuinely believe that saying and doing nothing is better than being a slight hypocrite when it comes to SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE LOSS OF SO MANY INNOCENT LIVES…i actually think you’re an idiot.

fuck I guess donating money, speaking consistently about the same issues for years, visiting refugee camps and speaking to the people involved is just really really fake we should all just do nothing if we're not perfect hey💞
performative activism is so fucking annoying.

so funny to read this while simultaneously watching the 1986 season and listening to the commentators talking about how psychologically unsettled piquet was by mansell’s successful season

'He blitzed everybody in a car far less superior.' Lewis Hamilton on Sebastian Vettel: "We've always probably connected, because we've come from similar sort of backgrounds, in a sense of, we didn't come from privileged backgrounds, we both came from normal working-class families, and there was a real struggle on the journey to get to Formula 1." "I would always see with Sebastian when he's had his dad there, his dad's such a cool character, and always so nice and polite, and obviously worked so hard to create the opportunity just like my dad." "I had read about the success he was having, I think he had something like 18 wins out of 20. Everything happened very early for him, in a sense that he, when he got to Formula 1, he got that amazing pole position in Monza, and one in the rain, which was just showed how precise and how adaptive he was as a driver." "He blitzed everybody in a car far less superior, and I think that was a really defining moment, showing that this guy's got, he's got what it takes to be a world champion." [From episode 1 of Sebastian Vettel's new documentary, photo from 2008 taken by Mark Thompson.]

🚨 | Ralf Schumacher says Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton’s longevity in F1 is limiting opportunities for young drivers: "If everyone races until they are 45, we can actually close F2 down." "At some point, there is simply no room left for the young drivers."

These gimmicks don’t belong in F1. It’s not a feeder series. The goal of the series isn’t to propel the young talents to the top. If old drivers are still ‘the top’ then they deserve to stay.
CAP RETIREMENT 🤷🏾 Too many young upcoming talents from f2 are missing sits in f1 because there is no retirement age. Kimi, Hadjar, Oli are prime examples these talents can always excel in F1 if given chances FIA should cap F1 retirement age to give these kids a chance.

The government didn’t say a WORD about the protests in southern italy that have been going on since the beginning of the month, the grocery stores are totally EMPTY, gas stations are running out of gas and yet the people understand and are handing out food and water and offering places to get clean to the truck drivers and transport workers that are parked and protesting. Nothing from the government for 20 days but after looting in milan suddenly we need new laws for “protection” and “safety”, meanwhile they deployed the army and are actively detaining minors. I genuinely don’t know how this situation can be fixed apart from the fall of this government.

i don’t have the words to describe the amount of brutality we are seeing from the police, in Paris a medic was KILLED, the media is covering it up by saying that he just simply collapsed but the video clearly shows otherwise. In the second video a young black man in Milan had to be defended by a journalist, he was surrounded by at least 5 police men who held him down and beat him. This is why they don’t want to be filmed.
