As 2025 comes to an end - my 40 years of @Charlotte49ers has also come to end. I will cherish every coach, student-athlete, media staff/production and great media commentators. I will do broadcast production events for networks but ready for family time & being a fan!

Had my daughter record the @m_a_h_o_n_e_y appearance so can watch later.
If you are in the area - you need to see @m_a_h_o_n_e_y and listen to her telling stories about the book and the story behind it. Went to a signing last week and all enjoyed asking questions. It is a great read for history buffs.
Spoiler: @campnorthend is a chapter in my book. You’ll find me there Friday, Oct. 23, signing books from 5-7pm at That’s Novel Books, which gives you enough time to make the Hornets home opener.
🏀 P.S. There’s a chapter called Buzz City in “Historic Maps of Charlotte.”
Thank you @OleMissSports for the wonderful tribute to Tom. The bottle of @MountainDew is a great touch as it was his favorite and when we were roommates, I saw him drink a few 3-liters in one sitting that brought some good memories.
What a classy act by @OleMiss to honor a great man at the football contest today. We appreciate you!
Tom’s passing has devastated me but left me feeling blessed of our friendship. I got to know & work him on his first day at @Charlotte49ers and remained friends since then. He was not only a mentor, roommate, a groomsman at my wedding but most of all, one of my best friends.
It is with heavy hearts that the Charlotte 49ers community mourns the passing of former Charlotte Administrator Tom Whitestone.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family Kim, Sam, and Allie, and to the many student-athletes and colleagues whose lives were positively impacted by Tom 💚

Today, I am in the booth for my 14th season opener working @CharlotteFTBL . I will get to track stats for the talent providing game information to share with those watching on ESPN+ I am just excited for today as I was for the Inaugural Game in 2013. Blessed I continue to work
@mhhogan1 - you set the excitement that day. My daughter was in your class at Ardrey Kell and asked if I knew who you were - obviously, I told her you scored the first TD in history of @CharlotteFTBL 💚⛏️
I am grateful for the opportunity to work the BIG3 championship for CBS this afternoon. Never thought that I be doing work in sports and sports television for over 40 years.
Due to a pet emergency - we may need to push start time to 7:00pm. My apologies for the delay
Blessed to have another birthday and thus one is special as I turned 60. The family is throwing a gathering at OMB - Ballantyne. Come join us for an evening of fellowship with friends while enjoying a cold beverage (possibly cake) and share a story.
As I turn 60 today - my wish is to perform 60 random acts of kindness over the next year. #1 is to help give back to @CLTBelkCollege hope you will read my message- Mark's 60th: A Birthday Gift for Future Niners crowdfund.charlotte.edu/proj…
Thank you @thewilldalton for your friendship and sports broadcasting talents - I know good thing ahead for you. Just continue to keep @JoshGrahamShow in line. Hope to catch up with you both soon!
Last @Panthers game with @thewilldalton and @JoshGrahamShow as Josh moves on to Westwood One. Best of luck my friend and thanks for all the great press box chats!
Always great to track stats for @dan_helotie at @Kcannonballers game and victory over the Columbia Fireflies. Great ballpark and atmosphere this afternoon! Missed @Trevor_Wilt10 and @hgbradey today.
I am a proud 1989 graduate from the @CLTBelkCollege and was honored to be the recipient of the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Service Award. I continue to serve and enjoy reading accomplishments of all winners and nominees. ⛏️💚

College basketball coach calls survival a ‘miracle’ after near-drowning at North Carolina beach - amazing story with a happy ending for former @charlottewbb Nicole Woods. She is a great friend and coach. Continue to pray as she continues to recover. wbtv.com/2026/05/27/college-…
