volume beats everything - 25k emails/d -> wipe out an entire TAM in one month, then hit them the next month with new cta/angle/copy. Rinse n repeat

> be me > fell in love with boxing at 13 > father couldn't afford the training > started an online biz to fund training > won 3-gold medals in boxing & 2 belts in MMA > fell in love with tech > father again couldn't afford to pay for high school > went to YouTube school > moved to NYC and scaled an ecom biz to $50m. > moved back to middle-east and built @tryOdiggo > became the fastest-growing startup in category > got into YC (S21) & moved to SF > pivoted to AI healthcare & raised $40m. > invited to speak at MIT > scaled @sullyai from $0-$5m ARR in 18months. > becoming fastest-growing enterprise AI healthcare

This story is insane. The founders of Fireflies AI (now worth $1B+) pretended to be an AI notetaker before the tech existed. The founders would: > Join meetings on mute as "Fred from Fireflies" > Take notes by hand while sitting silently > Send the "AI-generated" notes 10 minutes later They did this for 100+ meetings to pay rent, before actually building the product that went on to become a unicorn.

This is a pretty lively debate, but someone like @irentdumpsters knows how you can put the exact same effort into another business model and get 100x the results. In zero to one Peter Thiel talks about a billion dollar startup being as difficult to run as a good restaurant. The model you choose matters so much and can very much dictate the course and quality of your life. Look beyond anecdotes and really think about pursuing a business model.
This is the exact reason why I am telling everyone to NOT go into roofing when they ask me about it. This year alone, I have heard of five roofing companies either on the verge of bankruptcy or revenue cut in half compared to last year. I can almost guarantee you cannot build a $10M roofing company in 36 months with the way the world is right now. Especially in a market like Dallas-Fort Worth or even a market like Nashville, Tennessee. I see this first-hand EVERY SINGLE DAY, don't believe what you see on social media, it is all a facade.

True that
My favorite Q to assess a founder is: what were you doing when you were 13? There are usually 2 answers A—Parents drove me around to sports & extracurriculars B—Ran a botnet, spammed email, counterfeited IDs, ran a piracy op, affiliate arbitrage I never hesitate to invest in B.

The fastest way to stay broke: Chase complexity. I just watched a friend: • Build a fancy website • Create complex funnels • Set up 12 different tools Time spent: 6 months Revenue: $0 Meanwhile, another friend: • Started a simple newsletter • Wrote daily • Sold one product Time spent: 3 months Revenue: $8,000 The difference? One chased complexity. One embraced simplicity. Here's what kills most businesses: 1. Too many moving parts • Multiple offers • Complex systems • Different platforms 2. Analysis paralysis • Planning forever • Never launching • Overthinking everything 3. Shiny object syndrome • New tools • New strategies • New opportunities Want to actually make money? Follow this instead: • ONE offer • ONE system • ONE platform That's it. Because money loves: • Action • Clarity • Simplicity Stop making it complicated. Start making it work. Circle > Crowd

stop counting followers. start counting doors opened. the crowd watches you. the circle elevates you. that's the difference. Circle > Crowd

OUR SOLUTION VS RESELLERS There is literally ZERO difference in the tech between all outlook resellers. Everyone uses the same trick. The only difference is: 1. Type of tenant 2. Where you source the tenant from (provider) 3. Location of the tenant 4. Potentially AGE of the tenant 5. Sending practices go w/ a reseller if you don't want set-up, don't want to test to find what works, etc. Build infra yourself with our solution if you want to DIY for 70% less cost. Reply rates w/ microsoft = type of tenant, location of tenant, age of tenant, source of tenant, sending practices, etc. All in YOUR hands. We provide best practices, but our top users are those who understand that all outlook infra is the same - they test with the above variables and find something that works for them. A guy using our tool recently told me it sucked, turns out he's buying tenants from an indian tenant provider for like $1.60 a tenant - no wonder he wasn't getting the results he wanted. Even if you buy from tenant providers at normal, Western prices, they could be provisioning from their asian accounts, and spending $1.60 themselves. You think you're buying good 'American IP' tenants, but in reality you're getting a cheap asian tenant. And do you think MSFT allocates their good IPs to these types of tenants? Put in garbage, get garbage. Again, there is ZERO difference between building your outlook with our tool, VS using one of the popular resellers (no matter what they tell you, it's simply a tech and informational arbitrage). Also some resellers will fool you into believing they have a 'premium tenant' source.. Again, informational arbitrage and marketing speak. They want you to think they have some 'secret sauce'. It's not secret - this is nothing you can't get yourself, and we provide guides on that. The only difference is what you put into the tool.

If you’re putting all your outlook and Google recipients into the same campaign, ngmi… separate them out into separate campaigns, and try short, non salesy copy for outlook

For every email I send, @beehiiv buys me dinner. Yesterday was a Sunday roast, and proof that UK food is better than American 👀

Google is 10% better than outlook in terms of reply rate in my experience (sometimes its 0% better, sometimes 20% better), but it's literally 4x more expensive If you have super small TAM - use google. If you have lots of clients, lots of TAM to hit, use outlook.

if you don't rotate domains frequently - then your google becomes much much more affordable, but i consider domain rotation 1x a month a bare minimum for optimal deliverability in 2025, but ymmv

Save that $2k/mo -> put it into data, warm callers, testing other acquisition strategies (cold callers, ads), etc
