A dream realized!
From the Capital Region to the stage at KeyBank Center, Tommy Bleyl’s storybook moment came to fruition last night when he heard his name called in the first round of the NHL Draft.
The 18-year-old defenseman and Glenville native was selected 31st overall by the Nashville Predators, who traded up in order to secure him.
Now begins the pursuit of his next dream: reaching the NHL. He’ll return to the @monctonwildcats next season, where he burst onto the hockey scene, winning @CHLHockey Rookie of the Year. In the meantime, the Predators will be waiting. @PredsNHL @BHBLAthletics @AAPuck

ALT Quote graphic from Tommy Bleyl that reads: “It's just the biggest honor and the best day of my life. The feeling when my name got called was unlike anything else I've ever experienced... hearing that they traded up for me, that just kind of proves that you guys really thought about me and it's just really exciting.”

Educating families has always been a priority for the league. During our EHL Showcase, we held a seminar called “Myth of the Magical Path.” We were fortunate to have some incredible guest Coaches participate. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting clips from the seminar on a variety of topics that were discussed. We kick things off with Coach Haberbusch from @HamCollMHock. Here is what Coach had to say on the topic of “exposure.” #PPP #theprepway #educate @NZPrepHockey
