Saw this post on Tumblr and it essentially sums up my approach to coping with ADHD (and coping in general really).
We shouldn't try to force ourselves to do something like NTs. Essentially try find what works for us, no matter how odd others might find it.
Here's a picture.
1 would be sustainable. There's no empty periods. You find new things to do while already doing things. My hypothesis is that hobbies can help with this.
Instead, we have 2. Personally, I struggle doing more than one thing and I can't think about much else.

I like that emo is winning, lol.
Here's me 12 years ago.
And I have proof!
I love gardening. Its peaceful and it's satisfying seeing the (literal) fruits of ones' labour.
I once grew these beautiful pumpkins, and ugh, I was happy.
I searched for the picture I took and genuine coincidence, I took this pic exactly 4 years ago.

Yes, I'd see myself as a jack of all trades than a master of one.
Also this line from adventure time describes me best.
So an analogy (thats true for any of our attention issues):
Focusing is like the picture below.
The brain blurs (filters) the background so we don't get distracted and can observe the object.
The ADHD brain struggles to filter the background so our attention drifts.
I wrote down a list of my most pressing issues in 2017, which was when I started making the most improvements to my mental health.
It can be boiled down to 3 main issues:
RSD, avoiding the RSD cause I didn't know how to actively deal, and my anxiety about being replaced.
