The panel on Local Content in Practice brought together representatives from @memd, @PAU, @CNOOC, @Wagagai and @NRGI to discuss how citizens can meaningfully participate in and benefit from Uganda’s extractive sector. By law, Uganda’s natural resources are held by Government in trust for its citizens. The discussion explored what this means in practice—particularly how local communities and businesses can participate in the utilisation of these resources and share in the opportunities they create. #EITI2026 #Extractives #LocalContent
