“The possibilities are endless if working class people show their strength”
People everywhere are imagining what a better world could look like and demanding just that. We’re building that here too.
Don’t watch from the sidelines. Get involved.

🚨The rent strike in ON. 🚨
Solidarity with @AcornBradford members standing strong and starting their rent strike! ✊
After repeatedly raising concerns about conditions in their building, residents are turning up the pressure.
When tenants stand together, they’re impossible to ignore.

"You were basically kidnapped by landlords?!"
The Renter's Right Act officially became law this week. But while this strengthens tenant rights in England, a lot of the protections, including banning no-fault evictions, do not apply in Wales.
So how are tenants there fighting back against toxic landlords – especially when rents are rising faster in Cymru than any other UK nation?
That's the question put to members from @acorncardiff by Novara Media's @jameshh__. Watch the full report from Newport on our YouTube channel now.
RT @novaramedia: No city saw faster rising rents in Britain last year than Newport in South Wales.
But how did it become like "Legoland f…

🚫🪪 Good riddance to the Government's mandatory digital ID scheme!
Not only was this an attack on our civil liberties, putting more power in the hands of this (and future) Governments at the same time as increasing state surveillance and a clampdown on the right to protest, it would also see even more money, power and our most personal data in the hands of the private tech corporations.

When you look at how council tax works, it’s completely upside down. Then you look at how it’s enforced and it becomes completely indefensible.
That’s why ACORN members have spent the past month taking action at councils across the country as part of our Bailiff Free Britain Month of Action. We’re demanding an end to the use of bailiffs in council tax debt collection and the total abolition of council tax.
Join us in that fight. 👇

🏠 Every council home sold without replacement deepens the housing crisis. Selling off our safety net while people face record waits & sky-high rents is indefensible.
We need a government that will build public homes and protect them for the future not continue to sell them off!

The greed of landlords is not only making housing unaffordable, it’s changing housing from a place to LIVE, to socialise, to raise a family, into a place where you sleep and nothing more.

The next Senedd Elections will be the most important since Welsh devolution began - and we want YOU 🫵 to decide what our demands should be to our would-be politicians 🏴
