A blue Texas won’t put new people in charge. The same shadowy donor class will still be calling the shots, the same monied interests will keep dividing the country and squeezing working people, and the average American will get another round of puppets in nicer suits. James Talarico markets himself as anti-billionaire, but his Lone Star Rising PAC took $11.5 million from Reid Hoffman by June 2026, along with $100,000 from Sufam Advisors and $59,000 from Texas Sands PAC, tied to the Adelson family. Different names wearing different colors, but repping the same class interest. A Democrat win won’t change direction for Texas. Working people need their own independent, Texas-rooted organization with real skin in the game, one that fights for working people. That’s what the American Communist Party is building.

ACP Texas believes leadership starts local, which is why we continue to invest our time, energy and resources into local independent community organiations that need a helping hand. Building food sovereignty at the local level is one of the cornerstones in building a working class movement that is independent from the uniparty, and can stand on its own feet when the rubber hits the road. Last weekend, ACP Texas partnered up with Oak Cliff Veggie Project to haul and lay new mulch in a community garden in preparation for the winter season. Beyond being deeply rewarding work, gardens like these are the small beginning of something much bigger. The more Americans invest in uplifting the vulnerable in their own communities the stronger we will all be, united around a common vision and a sovereign economic foundation.
