I did it for chemical quantities and stoich, and l think I'll do it for gas laws but I'm not there yet. @jonbergmann has great info on how to do this! I have a start on gases b/c I did menus last year. I need to flesh it out to full unit. Check this out: docs.google.com/document/d/1…

We don’t eat iron nails, or chunks of explosive sodium metal, or copper pennies. We consume iron ions, sodium ions, and copper ions.
I think I want to highlight this difference as a phenomenon for atoms and the periodic table.

Seen this carried out in large plates but in a small Petri dish the procedure is so much quicker. But what happened if this was left for a hour ? Now interpret this into the movement small invisible particles. What if hot water was used? Ideal for a first school visit.
