So sad to see how small @Autosport International show has become…I worked on the show for many years in the early 2000’s and to see it down to only two halls of the NEC is hard to see.
Someone needs to resurrect this wonderful bastion of British motorsport.
One or two comments on my feed about getting to Silverstone at crack of dawn for just four races. Here's what you got in 1984... #F1 #BritishGrandPrix
Seriously impressed by @Padmore56! And to think I first got to know him in the 1980s when his dad raced road saloons and had the garage just up from my kids’ first school! Not many can say they’ve finished 2nd at Monaco in a F1 car… youtu.be/8Ow210mNGyE?si=_ExW…
Not often I get involved in building 14 flat-pack cabinets - part of the fun of being Chair of Trustees in a model car museum….
This was sad to hear - John Webb was the man in charge of the Brands group of circuits during the period when most of the pictures were taken and at one point I nearly went to work for him. A motor sport visionary, RIP.
The team at MotorSport Vision (MSV) is saddened to learn that John Webb, who oversaw Brands Hatch’s era as the home of British and European Grands Prix throughout the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, has died in Spain at the age of 92.

More sad news this morning again involving @TeamDynamics with the passing of engine guru Neil Brown. He worked magic on all sorts of powerplants and had a very long association with @Honda, as I wrote about in 1997 for my short-lived Touring Car Worldwide magazine. RIP Neil.

I honestly think we should have a “chart of rudeness” in F1!
Next time, take the grid passes from people who don’t care and give it to some deserving kids who will treasure the experience…. – at East Midlands, England
First idea to add to the next Super Touring Power – a couple of these... @Brands_Hatch @1990sBTCC
At Super Touring Power I captured @AlanHydeStudio sticking a microphone under the nose of Paul Radisich – but for the grey hair this could be 1995... @1990sBTCC @Brands_Hatch
From a truly awesome Super Touring Power weekend @Brands_Hatch - two generations of the Ford @BTCC dynasty. @1990sBTCC
A car that has been fulfilling the potential it never got to show in the Super Touring years… @Brands_Hatch @1990sBTCC
So many memories… @Brands_Hatch @1990sBTCC
35 years ago my photos were regularly in the @Brands_Hatch programme but I think this is the first time I have been…
I’m ready for this weekend @Brands_Hatch - a mere 28 years on from the last time in such shirts…
Starting to re-acquaint myself with what I believe was some of the best work of my career ahead of my involvement in Super Touring Power @Brands_Hatch next month, a meeting I am very much looking forward to!
