I call upon all Americans to express their outrage and refusal to accept this from the country who thinks a breaded and fried chicken breast served on a bun is called a “chicken burger”
“It’s the other team’s job to stop it” logic is something I can accept about, say, a late TD to win 38-15 instead of 31-15 in a Big Ten game, but not to “onside kick with a 57-0 lead in the 2nd quarter of a high school game against a team with 13 guys dressed”
…it’s okay (to an extent) to keep passing in the second half with a big lead if that’s part of your regular offense and you want the backups to get some practice running your regular offense.
It’s funny because normally I think my countrymen’s dedication to American exceptionalism makes us look arrogant or clueless but this is one case where we are just objectively correct and everyone else is wrong
Birds by a million @smhill15
Tremendous PR for the University of Pittsburgh - mentioned as an elite university by the Vice President alongside Harvard and Yale!
JD Vance: "Some of America's most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut the wages of American residents. There are 9 universities in particular that we believe merit an investigation. Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg, UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT."
Every star player does have talent, of course, it’s a necessary but not sufficient condition to be a star. But Kobe is one of the funniest possible examples to use if you’re trying to make a point about talent over work ethic. He was famous for his insane work ethic!
Replying to @_themoman
Disagree! We value lunch “lunch pail guys” but I’ve never heard ppl say “Kobe practice 18 footers for 7 hours every day”
Maybe he did! But we mythologize the greats for greatness not grit
A&M has over 62,000 undergrads.
Northwestern has about 9,000 undergrads.
Maybe it makes sense for colleges to have stadiums that are appropriately sized for their enrollment and fanbase instead of just the biggest possible?
Kyle Field holds THREE TIMES as many people as this high school stadium.
A 30,000 seat stadium would NEVER be allowed in the SEC.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ryan Field’s capacity is 35,000 – the same size as Vanderbilt’s FirstBank Stadium

The trio of trick plays to win this game can never be topped
This weekend we are celebrating 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 of the greatest college football game ever played.

One funny thing about College Football Discourse: SEC fans will use results like Indiana-Northwestern to ridicule the B1G (“can you believe your Big Bad struggles to put away NORTHWESTERN?”) but then cite any close game between a bottom-tier SEC team and top-tier one as…
