Making it impossible for people with jobs to watch the finals just so you can avoid people on twitter crying about the optics of playing in a small building. World's smartest league
The WNBA decision to move game 6 of the finals to 12:30 PM Thursday will have an impact on its media coverage. USA Sports says that the game will not simulcast on CNBC, as its other games are (it will be during market hours). Instead it will simulcast on E! and Syfy.

people replying to this like "well then you're just voting for the republican" you made the tradeoff that you would lose voters like this in exchange for winning over more moderate republicans. unless you know the tradeoff won't work (it wont) you shouldn't be mad about this
Leaning toward leaving Senate blank. Not gonna vote for Hinson, obviously, but I'm also not terribly interested in doing my part to add the next Fetterman to the Senate. Best of luck to Josh in finding his mythical moderate republicans.

Most of his closing pitch has been about how much he agrees with fascists and can't wait to work with them which I personally think is a weird way to convince people you are going to stand up to facism.
I dont understand liberals. You have the option between getting kicked in the shin or kicked in the dick, and they'll sit back and wait until the inevitable dick-kick comes screaming towards their junk. You'd think "not ushering in the Fourth Reich" would be a bigger priority...

Turek’s problem isn’t just moving right on immigration and trans healthcare. It’s paying to shout it instead of hammering Trump and Hinson on affordability, tariffs and the war in Iran. Hardworking Iowans need something to fight FOR. Republican Lite isn’t a reason to vote.

A centrist who stands for nothing but is nevertheless accused of being a radical commie vs a lying dipshit aligned with white nationalists and neo-Nazi social media trolls. I think we've already arrived in this future.

Yeah, no, this goes above and beyond “Democrat running in a Red State” and into the Joe Manchin “center-right Republican running as a Democrat” zone.
New: Iowa Democrat Josh Turek is running a radical Senate campaign ... to the center - Opposes impeachment - Supports Laken Riley Act - Criticizes Dems for blocking Husted data center bill and farm bill - Ticks off all the ways he can work with Trump “Politically, the term moderate can be pejorative. And I say that I’m proudly a moderate," he says in an interview. His opponent, Rep. Ashley Hinson, says Turek is "going to be voting with Chuck Schumer 100% of the time." But she too is running toward the center, distancing herself from Trump on Iran, Russia and Vivek ad Turek: Hinson’s “masquerading. I mean that’s a problem for me. I’m genuinely a bipartisan person,” he added. “She has been partisan. … Just be who you are.” On the throwback race in Iowa, where “They expect us to represent Iowa interests and not just the interests of whoever’s president of the United States," according to Chuck Grassley --> semafor.com/article/10/25/20…

Y'all don't understand how much damage us trans folks have tanked for almost everyone else the last like 4 years. It's been us and immigrants just taking the full blast of the culture war every day. And now you call us selfish for asking for the same rights we had 2 years ago?
you can't expect, after two years of being used as scapegoats for just about everything, trans voters not to object to that, they have to be respected as coalitions members and their concerns taken seriously

anyone who jumps for joy whenever data centers or flock cameras get criticized by red state Dems should not be mad with this ad this is partly *your* fault and yes, these issues do have a connection

#KansasSenate Adam Hamilton on transgender rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.” “I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”

Turek isn’t winning. Talarico’s closing message is about the economy, the war, and corruption. Turek’s is about… 10 trans kids. Fuck.
#IAPol: "No Iowan should face discrimination. As a Paralympian, I also know it's important to have rules. It's why I oppose males competing in female sports ... I'm against taxpayers paying for sex changes, too." Josh Turek is up with a new #IASen ad. Future reservations: 🔵$18.0M 🔴$15.5M

Not that Hinson is any better but between shit like this and the awful border wall ad it's gonna be pretty hard for me to be upset when this guy loses.

Hinson repeatedly voted for tarrifs and an unjust war that have crippled the local economy and are deeply unpopular. Why is your closing message throwing the most marginalized part of your base under the bus for the sake of culture war bullshit that barely impacts most Iowans?

Like 99.9999999% of the people who care about this to the degree that it genuinely drives their vote are already voting Republican no matter what you say. Who is this for? Just being morally bankrupt for the love of the game.

People in the replies rolling their eyes about this because he wrote Infinite Jest, I suspect, haven’t actually read it. It’s actually a very easy read. The grammar isn’t why it’s challenging to get through.

maybe the first time a 6 minute video has been worth it
I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.
