2018 Midterms saw the Alabama Gubernatorial race decided by nearly 20 points for the GOP:
Kay Ivey (R): 59.46%
Walt Maddox (D): 40.39%
In 2026, Trump's second 1st midterm, Alabama's gubernatorial race was decided by a mere 4%
Tommy Tuberville (R): 52.1%
Doug Jones (D): 47.9%
Unlike some other states, Alabama has seen little to no demographic change in that time that would sway results. This was pure apathy from voters and a rejection of the GOP on policy. Not since 2002 has the governor's race been this close in Bama.
Conservatism is out. America First is in.
