Washington defends America from the outside in. Agencies, surveillance, endless spending. It has the threat model backwards. Security starts at home. Strong families. A real economy. Free, healthy citizens. My new book: 11 RULES FOR NATIONAL SECURITY. Coming soon.

2hr old post 1.4M views. Great news for Codex users.
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

A cylinder placed in flowing water creates a pattern of fast currents and swirling eddies. The Navier Stokes equations explain how pressure, viscosity and inertia shape that motion. ρ(∂v/∂t + (v·∇)v) = −∇p + μ∇²v + f The remarkable part? In 3D, whether smooth solutions always exist remains one of mathematics’ biggest unsolved problems.

Unfortunately, many attacks on food and agriculture systems do not have to be sophisticated or difficult to be effective.
The Pentagon is treating a rash of freezer malfunctions that affected refrigeration and freezer units at commissaries at several U.S. military bases in August as a suspected cyberattack, according to four officials familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters. The Pentagon said a Cyber Command unit is “working in close coordination with interagency and law enforcement partners” in the ongoing investigation. At least six on base commissaries were affected in late August, per Reuters’ review of base social media posts. In at least one case, the cooling units’ temperatures were raised overnight, resulting in spoiled food. Fort Huachuca, Arizona, posted that its freezer “went into defrost mode where it heated up all the food.” One official said investigators have been in touch with French counterparts about a similar attack that hit more than 350 French supermarkets earlier this month. Five operators that let vector fields confess their local behavior. Divergence reveals whether a field acts as a source or a sink by measuring net outward flux. Gradient points the direction of steepest climb with magnitude equal to the maximum rate of change. Curl detects the infinitesimal rotation or circulation around a point. The Laplacian quantifies how sharply the field curves and spreads, while the d’Alembertian governs wave propagation at finite speed c. These operators turn the geometry of fields into a precise language for flows, twists, and traveling disturbances.

Hackers steal and dump 41,000 DHS employee records. Link to article in comments.
BREAKING: UNPRECEDENTED BREACH UNMASKS MORE THAN 41,000 DHS EMPLOYEES INCLUDING UNDERCOVER ICE AGENTS AS HACKERS RELEASE MASSIVE PERSONNEL DUMP! A Hacktivist Collective Identifying Itself As The Department Of Peace Has Released Personnel Records On Over 41,000 Employees & Contractors From The @DHSgov, Exposing Names, Cellphone Numbers, Email Addresses, Office Locations & Membership In Internal Permission Groups Tied To Undercover Operations, Wiretap Programs & Surveillance Tools. The Transparency Nonprofit Distributed Denial Of Secrets Published The Archive Under The Name “Icepick” On Wednesday After Receiving The Material From The Group, Which Claims The Data Was Obtained From DHS’s Okta Single Sign-On Login System. Records Were Last Updated On August 19, 2026, & Span DHS Headquarters Together With Component Agencies Including @CBP, @USCIS & The @CISAgov. More Than 21,000 Records Belong To CBP Staff While Nearly 6,600 Cover @ICEgov Personnel, With Additional Entries For @HSI_HQ, The Federal Protective Service & CISA. The Dump Reveals Dozens Of Previously Unknown Operation Names, The Agents Leading & Working On Those Operations, & Technology Employed Including Systems From Cellebrite & Palantir. Permission Groups Reference Wiretap Programs Such As Title III Intercept & Illicit Sensor Intercept Programs Along With Tools For Analyzing Phone Records & Social Media. In A Note Accompanying The Files The Hackers Wrote: “They Have Our Information, So It’s Only Fair That We Have Theirs.” A Spokesperson For The Department Of Peace Stated: “On July 17th, @SecMullinDHS Said He Was ‘Turning Up The Heat’. This Is What Happens To ICE When You Do That.” DHS Confirmed To The BBC It Is “Aware Of A Potential Breach & Is Actively Working To Address The Situation Swiftly & Effectively,” Adding That It Takes Threats Against Employees & Officers Seriously & Will Update The Public When More Information Becomes Available. Okta Told WIRED: “Okta Is Secure, & We Have No Evidence Our Data Or Systems Were Compromised.” The Release Occurs Against A Documented Surge In Threats Against ICE Officers, Including An 8,000% Increase In Death Threats & A More Than 1,000% Rise In Assaults During Enforcement Operations According To DHS. Officials Have Linked The Escalation To Rhetoric Labeling Agents As “Gestapo” Or “Nazis,” Which Has Also Produced Physical Attacks, Vehicle Rammings & Campaigns Circulating Personal Information.

In 1963 the mathematician Stanislaw Ulam was bored in a meeting and began doodling: write the whole numbers in a square spiral, then circle the primes. Primes look random, yet here they line up along diagonals. Every diagonal follows a quadratic formula, and some formulas make many primes: Euler's n² + n + 41 gives 40 primes in a row. The busiest diagonal here holds 146 primes among 383 numbers, about 4 times the usual share. Each prime is coloured by its size. Mathematicians can explain part of this pattern, not all of it.

Just because you can automate prompting (I do this myself with extreme caution) and the auto prompt yields a result, does not make the result reliable or valid. I have watched Opus 5.5 auto-engineered prompts go in endless loops. Auto-engineered prompts have their place. They seem to fail without a valid training set / corpus. Garbage in / garbage out.
Anthropic engineer: "You're not supposed to prompt Opus 5.5 You're supposed to build a system that prompts itself. At Anthropic, 90% of our engineers have already built these systems" In 30 minutes she shows exactly how Anthropic builds agents that remember, fix their own errors and get sharper with every run. This beats any $1000-$2000 course on agents I've come across. Watch it, then read the article below ↓

In 1904, Henri Poincaré posed a mathematical problem that would remain unsolved for nearly a century. Grigori Perelman finally solved it. In 2006, he declined the Fields Medal. In 2010, he turned down a $1 million prize. He solved one of mathematics' greatest mysteries, then walked away from its biggest rewards. Would you have accepted the million dollars?

Pro move: tap a long Phillips head screwdriver in one side of the filter until it exists the other side of the filter. Then rotate the oil filter with the screwdriver handle.

ICYMI. Also there were much needed security updates to the accessibility features permissions.
Good morning. ☕️ ☀️ MAC OS and Apple IOS will be releasing operating system updates at 1 pm ET today (27.2). Included is a security patch for a kernel jailbreak exploit. Monitor who sends you text messages, emails, floods your X posts with messages, or calls you today before the update is released to identify bad actors / hackers.
