To integrate an agent with any app:
Use the AG-UI protocol. AG-UI stands for "Agent-User Interaction Protocol".
Every big-name company is already using AG-UI: Anthropic, Google, AWS, Microsoft, LangChain, Mastra, Pydantic, etc.
This is the open, community-driven standard for how agents and frontends communicate.
Their new v1.0 is out. Here is what you get:
• It works with any frontend: web, mobile, terminal, etc.
• It works with any chat app: Slack, Teams, etc.
• It supports all types of generative UI: A2UI, MCP apps, etc.
• It supports subagents, shared state, interrupts
• End-to-end interaction data you can learn from
Their specification now supports a JSON schema to define events and how they behave: their order, run lifecycle, and errors. It's precise enough for anyone to implement.
If you have a custom agent or harness, you can write one adapter that outputs AG-UI events, and plug it into everything built on top. If you want to take your agent to production, @CopilotKit provides the full UI layer, plus threads, agent analytics, automatic learning, and more.

What a week in New York City.
It was a trip full of copilots, agents, networking, great teammates and a lot of new friends.
@AITinkerers NYC Demo Day. I demoed OpenMuse to a full room of builders.
It's our open-source personal agent that comes with its own browser, terminal and files. You ask for an outcome, follow its plan, review its actions, and take over the browser whenever you want. It's built with CopilotKit React Native, so it runs on iOS, Android and the web.
