But, regardless of their willful ignorance, I will humour them and provide some reasons: - enriching billionaires while helping them cut out the middle class - providing AI companies with your personal data for free so they can capitalize off of you - helping to enable surveillance - destroying the environment with data centres (which the person in the screenshot has apparently chosen to ignore) - encouraging the scraping and stealing of data without consent - obliterating the human mind, creativity, and the economy - cutting out humans from the creative process to allow companies to hoard more money without having to provide jobs - empowering a looming threat that may end humanity If you believe that even one of these is true and you still choose to use AI, then you are an oblivious evil person. Just because some of those wouldn’t directly affect you personally, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
