Want to give a shoutout to @ScoutConnectBB and the dynamic duo of @DeegsBaseball and @evanfurfaro Their Main Event this weekend in Bloomington-Normal is EXACTLY what travel baseball should be. A great mix of 2-and 4-year programs in attendance. And what were the coaches here to see? PROGRAMS! PROGRAMS with established reputations for helping players develop and find their collegiate homes! And a lot of those orgs showed out and the players got some life changing opportunities as a result of their performances! The current model of travel baseball does nothing but make people rich. It is no longer beneficial to travel to out of state events when kids are likely to end up at a school within a 5-hour radius of their home! College coaches, I’ve spoken to many of you about going to this model and to a man, you have all said change is needed. We need your support, in the form of attendance at these events, to make the change possible!
