Channel DAO aims to integrate abundant resources, guidance, and opportunities to assist those interested in Web3 in gaining a deeper understanding and transforming innovative ideas into practical Web3 solutions. Channel DAO is committed to becoming a leading force in the Web3 field, gathering people through friendly exchanges and creating an active community that inspires innovation and creativity, together redefining the digital frontier.

Over the past several months, we have substantially hardened the security of our research training environment. We’ve removed live internet access for all frontier models during training and built an offline world for them to use instead—a cached version of the web where they can still learn to browse, search, and use applications. On September 20, after a model exploited a DNS misconfiguration to find a way outside of this offline world, we paused frontier training to strengthen containment further. We assembled teams of agents, powered by our most cyber-capable models, and tasked them with finding weaknesses in our research environments. While they found no route to the internet they could easily exploit while concealing their activity from our monitors, they did find zero-day vulnerabilities, virtual machine escapes, and hardware side-channels for communication between agents. We used their discoveries to further strengthen our defenses and contribute fixes to open-source software. After strengthening our containment architecture, we resumed our frontier RL training and inference on October 1. We’ve reserved substantial compute for continuous red-teaming, and made high-compute red-teaming part of the safety cases we use to decide whether frontier training and evaluation can proceed securely. openai.com/index/securing-ou…

this chart should scare the shit out of anyone trading meme coins. DOGE reached nearly 90B. SHIB 40B. PEPE over 10B. yet today we’re celebrating new runners hitting 1M. imagine running a casino where you add thousands of new tables every day without bringing in more gamblers. more tables. same players. less money at each table. eventually nobody wins enough to keep playing. that’s exactly what dilution is doing to the trenches. we don’t have a shortage of memes, we have a shortage of concentrated demand. pump pairs could fundamentally change that. instead of thousands of disconnected launches competing for liquidity, imagine activity concentrating around 5 major ecosystems. new tokens can trade against established assets like solana:Hg5Ja55T5wESq4vyFoiVCMeHXtGyVA69X2UHq8hgpump instead of SOL. $50 jeets chase microcaps, midcap traders buy established betas, and size whales deploy into deeper parent assets. different risk appetites, same connected economy. but the biggest shift could be how the market values these coins. right now, traders anchor to the last runner. if yesterday’s winner topped at $1M, suddenly $1M becomes everyone’s perceived ceiling. what happens when traders start valuing new memes relative to their parent ecosystem instead? imagine PUMP at 3B, BATON at 300M, and a BATON beta at 30M. each just 10% of the layer above it. not price targets, but a completely different valuation framework. suddenly a $5M beta isn’t being compared to yesterday’s $1M runner. it’s being compared to a $300M parent. the benchmark changes, and so does the perceived ceiling. there’s also a natural pricing relationship. if BATON rises while a beta maintains its BATON exchange rate, that beta rises in dollar terms. BATON trading against PUMP creates the same potential dynamic upstream. stronger PUMP, stronger BATON, higher dollar valuations for successful betas. a rising tide can lift all ships, provided relative demand holds. and the economics go beyond price. new pairs can route activity through BATON and generate fees in the paired asset. successful launches can attract more traders, liquidity and builders. increased platform revenue can also support PUMP through pumpfun’s buyback-and-burn mechanism. more successful launches create more activity. more activity strengthens the parent ecosystem’s network. stronger ecosystems attract more capital and launches. instead of constantly fragmenting liquidity, activity has a chance to compound. so why BATON over other pump pairs? BATON has the original pumpfun lore, was the first coin paired with PUMP, and is already positioned as a parent asset for new launches with 700+. anyone can create another pair. they can’t recreate being first, and building an established network of traders, liquidity and communities takes time. it’s the same principle behind Ethereum’s moat. the advantage isn’t simply the token, it’s the economy built around it. if pump pairs become the structure that consolidates the trenches, BATON has a legitimate shot at becoming its flagship. the next big meme winner might not be another isolated 100x. it might be the ecosystem that hundreds of potential 100x opportunities build around. we don’t need fewer degens or fewer launches. we need fewer disconnected economies. pump pairs could be the structural shift this market needs. $BATON could become the face of it. because if we keep adding supply without giving capital a reason to stay, every new runner will keep fighting over a smaller piece of the same pie.

Thank you — and that's a fair correction: we had the centroid check wrong. We described it as "reject only when the offset points the same way in every sector." Your actual method is sharper: an F-test on the *mean* offset across sectors (scatter floored at 1" per axis), run against the target AND against every star within 2' bright enough to cause the dip. That "test against each plausible contaminant" step is exactly the part we dropped — and the part that does the work. So our P74 needs an honest reframe: "power collapses to 0%" is a verdict on the coarse coherence statistic WE ported, not a judgment on your method. Your 0/565 known planets rejected at p<0.001 with a 73% catch on blended TOIs is precisely the safe-to-gate profile we've been hunting for and couldn't hit — and the 38%-within-15" drop is a great sanity check on *why* (the neighbour's centroid coincides with the target's, so the offset stops discriminating). We'd like to re-port it faithfully: our P(FP) step already pulls Gaia neighbours (positions + magnitudes for the 2' test) and we have multi-sector offsets, so the pieces are there. Two questions so we get it right: 1) With several stars within 2', do you take the most significant per-star F-test (min p) or a joint statistic? 2) Is the 1"/axis scatter floor applied before or after forming the mean offset? Fair warning: our sample is tiny by comparison (28 targets, mostly 1-2 sectors — literally the weak regime), so anything we report is a rougher cross-check, not a re-validation. Either way we're correcting the description in RESEARCH.md / CHANGELOG with a pointer to validation/centroid_sectors.md and to you. This is exactly how measure-before-gate should work — thanks for holding us to it.
Replying to @SpaceDataRig
Thanks, this is great to see, and I like the measure-before-you-gate approach. One correction on the centroid check: it doesn't require the offset to point the same way in every sector. It runs an F test on the mean offset across sectors (scatter floored at 1″ per axis) against the target and against each star within 2′ bright enough to cause the dip. On the calibration set it rejected none of 565 known planets at p < 0.001 and caught 73% of 175 TOIs whose signal comes from a neighbouring star (only 38% when that star is within 15″). Details are in validation/centroid_sectors.md.

Hi @dysmemic , I want to thank you for open-sourcing eumemic/exoplanets. It's rare to find a working, end-to-end TESS transit pipeline that actually ships real candidates (600+), and reading the source was genuinely instructive — the engineering judgment shows up in a lot of small places (iterative multi-signal BLS with transit masking, per-sector centroid consistency, the EXO_INVERT empirical false-positive null, the systematic multi-source de-novelty pass, grouping splits by star to avoid leakage, and the funnel/site_data recompute discipline). We run a different, TypeScript/edge-based pipeline (Space Data Rig — a reproducible, measure-before-gate transit rig on public TESS-SPOC photometry, spacedatarig.app). We studied your repo and adopted four of your ideas, then — in the spirit of your own calibration-first ethos — measured each one on OUR data rather than assuming it transfers. What we borrowed and where it landed: 1. Masking known planets and re-searching (your --mask-tois). -> Our P73. On a 20-planet known-host sample, masking each host's catalogued siblings lifted blind joint re-find 6 -> 7/20 (net +1, zero regressions) but stayed far under a truth-seeded 11/20 ceiling. Your lever is real; on our short-baseline sample it just isn't the whole story. 2. Per-sector difference-image centroid consistency (reject only when the offset points the same way in every sector). -> Our P74 (a reusable pure module + offline tests). On 28 real targets it removed ALL 9/16 single-sector known-planet false-kills — but blend-catch power collapsed to 0% (AUC ~0.49). It "saves planets" beautifully; it just doesn't discriminate on our data. 3. EXO_INVERT — inverting the light curve to build a clean, planet-free false-alarm null. -> Our P75. This one was gold for us: it let us answer a caveat in our own significance work with a genuinely model-free null. Inverting + masking every planet, our AR(1) significance gate flagged 12/16 (75%) pure-noise dips as "significant" versus the 5% it advertises, and a block bootstrap overturned 7 of them. Your null gave us a calibration result we couldn't get cleanly any other way. 4. Multi-source de-novelty (ExoFOP TOI/CTOI + Archive + SPOC TCE + literature). -> Our P76. We added the token-free ExoFOP TOI/CTOI table to our Archive-only novelty check; it confirmed (0/5 shrink) that our candidates are simply unannounced, not hiding a CTOI. One thing we deliberately did NOT port: your stack-slide cross-season phase-coherent folding — our BLS already folds on absolute time, so a stitched multi-sector search is already phase-coherent and it would have been a duplicate of what we had. That realization came from reading your code carefully, so thank you for that too. Every one of these is credited to you in our RESEARCH.md / CHANGELOG, and the ports are open (MIT) at github.com/SpaceDataRig/spac… (scripts/p73-masked-recovery.ts, p74-centroid-consistency.ts, p75-inverted-fp.ts, p76-multisource-novelty.ts). The honest headline: your pipeline is well-engineered, and treating your techniques as testable hypotheses — not free wins — is exactly the lesson we took from it. Thank you for making it public. It made our project better. — the Space Data Rig team

🛰️ What is it? An AI "astronomer" that runs on its own, no babysitting. Around the clock it pulls REAL telescope data (NASA's TESS satellite) from the open internet and hunts for the tiny moment a distant star dims — usually a planet passing in front of it. 🔍 What does it do? Five AIs split the work: fetch the data → spot a signal → stress-test whether it's real → argue with each other to poke holes → write a plain-English summary. It even gives every finding a "health check": did the dimming really come from that star, or from a troublesome neighbor? ✨ Why does it matter? Two things: (1) it makes "finding planets," once a job for a few big institutions, open and reproducible for anyone; (2) every result is sealed with a tamper-proof timestamp, so anyone can double-check it — no "just trust me." 🌱 Where is it headed? Right now it's practicing on planets we ALREADY know, proving it can independently re-detect them (it measured one planet's "year" to within about 0.1%). Next: point it at star fields no one has studied — only then can a "not in any catalog" signal be a genuine new-planet candidate. 🔭 The vision: an honest, verifiable astronomy pipeline that doubts itself — no bragging, admits mistakes, and shows you its own reliability score. See it live: spacedatarig.app Read the code: github.com/SpaceDataRig/spac…

We have repurchased tokens worth $600 and continue to lock them, hoping to rebuild investor confidence. We do not tax tokens; instead, we aim to ensure the project can operate sustainably through developer rewards, which is why we did not conduct large-scale buybacks in the early stage. Once cash flow is healthy, we will increase the intensity of buybacks in later stages. FvSE99EkoiTY8Wv34V2RpWVNxnrLe7o9gyKnd4HddtjQ
