This also is a situation that can be addressed via a telephone.
Instinct CEO Noah Shinn says agents will let restaurants give tables to birthdays and anniversaries over whoever clicks first
"And traditionally, because of the way that the internet has worked, at least for reservations, it's been first come first serve. So anyone that comes in, no matter how important or how not important it might be, whoever gets in first gets the reservation."
"But what if you had the ability for the agent to be able to communicate on both sides, communicate, hey, this is important. This is actually the person's spouse's birthday, the 30th birthday, a very special event is coming up."
"And the restaurant too can say, let's actually prioritize birthdays or major decade birthdays or major anniversaries or these certain people, I don't know, whatever it might be, right?"
"So now with the ability, with all of the logistical burden of having to describe exactly what your case is and what's happening and why it's important. Now we have the ability to perfectly match what does the restaurant want? What does the user want?"
"And that will result in more special events for the users being able to actually have a spot in the restaurant."

Congratulations to @chadjanis and the entire Grüns team for today’s announcement of their acquisition by Unilever
@SelvaVentures is a proud Grüns investor and I am a proud board member — we are incredibly excited by this outcome
Many people from the outside will tell stories of product-market-fit, direct marketing, DTC tactics and omnichannel execution — all of that is true, but it misses the real story
The real story is one of people — what is possible when talent density meets high accountability leadership and genuinely good people
I have spent time over the past 2 years with dozens of members of the Grüns team, and every time I have come away impressed by their IQ and EQ
These are going to be many of this industry’s next generation of great leaders — the “PayPal mafia” of CPG — remember their names and look out for them
Thank you Chad for bringing us along for this journey — it has truly been an honor
Congratulations to our fellow investors and collaborators: Headline

Haven't posted in a very long time but had to share. Talk about meeting a moment! I love America but wish our leaders could lead (or even speak) like this. You can have a strong defense, economy, and future leading through community not conquering. Bravo @MarkJCarney and team.

Is this what you wanted, @StephenM?
A mother who was 5 months pregnant - who'd just found out she and her American citizen fiancee were having a boy - lost her baby after federal agents in a detention center repeatedly denied her pleas for prenatal care.
Lived and worked in Tennessee for years. Detained by ICE for over a month. Forced to sleep on a prison cell floor. Served food with cockroaches. Said she was starving and having stomach pains. Guards told her it was normal. Begged to be deported so at least she could get prenatal care in Guatemala. ICE refused.
She delivered her stillborn baby in front of two guards who shackled her feet. Then, for two days, she wasn't allowed to call her fiancee or talk to anyone. She cried alone, and was deported to Guatemala shortly after the stillbirth.
DHS has only said they'd review the case. "Worst of the worst", right @TriciaOhio?

Everyone should look on the bright side: We have no idea if Trump will send Seal Team Six after Gov. Newsom. But at least we know that, if Trump did it, he’d be immune from criminal prosecution for doing it.
