Week ending 10/23/26, the MAG7 combined market cap closed down -$419,438,915,948. $META was the biggest loser this week down -8.88% after the tech sector took some pretty big hits (sure is a lot of 8's). $TSLA was the biggest winner up 3.79%, but both stocks still in the red since Oct 29th last year.
As we near the 52nd week since I first started tracking this, we can see the combined market cap is up 5.44%. The only green area in the market on this picture is the small caps. As an ETF, the small caps was also the best bang for the buck in making profit as we approach National Cat Day.
Also, as we approach full circle on the year you can see the combined price of the MAG7 is nearing where it started and is hugging the bottom of my Bollinger Band limits. Having said that, it's still within the limits and the lower band is well within the returning starting combined price of $2,636. What a fun and exciting week we have ahead of us, strap on your wading pants and sinch up your galoshes.
$GME - The Puts are targeting $24.50 down to about $14 while the Calls are targeting $26.50. Contracts no longer exist for $13.50 and $36.50. The spread on that is 23 oddly enough and the middle point would be $25, even more oddly enough. Perhaps we can extrapolate something from all the 23 numbers we've been getting recently.
This needs way more likes, just say’n.
Thank you @CEOAdam for speaking out about AMC's commitment to the Kips Bay community. This theater is a beloved institution, and I know we can find a path forward to keep it in the neighborhood. It's time for @nyulangone to come to the table.
$AMC - Seeing ITM Calls closing before the EoW to roll/take profit hardly seems unreasonable and there is still continuous OTM Call creation yesterday, but no Puts closing suggests what I kinda figured with a >$3 close for the week. Perhaps we get that gap down on BTC this weekend and we see the upwards momentum towards $3.50 next week.
Max Pain is $2.50, so $3 is a win.
$GME - Max Pain dropped from $25 to $24.50 and on the Call side of the chain, $26.50 was the only positive flow. Again to be expected for EoW. The amount of closed Puts though is pretty significant and I'd say the largest chunk starts around $30.50 with positive positions being opened at $24.50 and lower. I'd say that overall the market is looking for a $25.50-$27 close which is still a win over Max Pain.
I guess this analysis held up, but I’m sure all those deep ITM Puts that closed yesterday are wishing they hadn’t. It’ll be interesting to see if we get big closures across both sides of the chain from today’s price action. If we do then I’d almost expect a very close to $3 close tomorrow.
$AMC - This, this is just beautiful. The wall at $3 still exists, but notice the bigger wall building at $3.50...upwards and onwards. Still a lot of ITM buying of puts which leads me to believe a sharp movement down before the up.
