WELCOME BACK, PHILLY. ❤️🚲🇺🇸 Before I ever became a professional cyclist, I knew who won Philly. That’s what this race meant. The @_pclassic wasn’t just another race on the calendar. It was one of those races. An iconic American course. The Manayunk Wall. Lemon and Strawberry Hill. International fields. People packed onto the streets. A whole city showing up for bike racing. And today, after 10 years away, it’s BACK. 🥹 Even better? They brought back the classic course and the finish on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway! The finish I remember watching before I ever got the chance to race here myself. By the time I raced, our finish was at the TOP of the Manayunk Wall. 😵‍💫 I raced it multiple times, but this 2014 photo is still one of my favorite memories of the race. That’s my teammate @Lex_Albrecht , and apparently “we” just finished 2nd. 😂 I say “we” because while Lex did the minor task of actually crossing the finish line in 🥈, I attacked a few kilometers from the finish to help set it up and I was so proud of our little team. Our DS was @mariholden. We came with a plan. AND IT WORKED. So obviously I celebrated by 😘 Lex on the cheek. I may have also accepted a beer hand-up on our final trip up the Wall. 🍺 Was it UCI compliant? Let’s not investigate. But THAT was Philly. World-class racing and complete chaos. The best riders in the world racing shoulder-to-shoulder with America’s best on a classic course, while thousands of people turned the Manayunk Wall into one giant bike-racing party. This is what I want to see more of in American bike racing. Big and REAL races. UCI racing. International competition. Iconic American roads. Women AND men. Crowds lining the course. Cities that know the race, love the race and show up for it. The kind of race where, long before you ever pin on a number yourself, you know who won. Seeing Philly come back today makes me ridiculously happy. Welcome back, old friend. ❤️ American bike racing looks pretty damn good on you. My goddaughter just dressed up like me for Spirt Day at high school. Not like professional cyclist me. Just you know, vintage 2000s me. It was called Y2K Day. We have arrived, Millennials.

This morning felt especially hard to tumble outta bed and stumble to the kitchen… ☕️ But I poured myself a cup of ambition anyway. 👸🏼 Because if Dolly taught us anything, it’s that the bravest thing you can do, is be you. “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” - Dolly Parton 💖 Some days, doing it on purpose looks like chasing big dreams. Other days, it’s getting out of bed, pouring the coffee, putting on something sparkly (or spandex), and deciding to show up anyway. So here’s your little Dolly reminder for today: Be BOLDLY you no matter what anyone says. Wear the boots and the sparkles (if you want). Do it on purpose and with purpose. The bigger the hair, the closer to heaven. And leave somebody with a smile. 🌸 Thank you, Dolly. This world did not deserve you. But we will carry your lessons with us forever and leave something good every day. 💕

Waking up with a BIG @LeTourFemmes avec @gozwift hangover. 🫠💛 Send help. 👸🏼 I LOVE CYCLING! No stages to dissect on @wedusport. No attacks to scream about. No yellow jersey math (I don’t do the maths so well because I’m lazy). No reason to yell at the TV before breakfast. WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO WITH OURSELVES NOW?! 😭 Nine days of getting to spectate, celebrate, commentate, and completely obsess over the biggest women’s bike race in the world—and just like that… it’s over. 😢 But oh my goodness, look how far this race has come. The crowds. The racing. The stories. The drama. The young riders coming through absolutely FEARLESS. The women who fought for this sport long before there were cameras following every kilometer. This isn’t just a bike race anymore. It’s proof of what happens when women are given the road, the coverage, the opportunity, and the damn spotlight. ✨ And every year, it gets BIGGER. Thank you for tuning in, laughing with us, screaming with us, and most importantly, continuing to #WATCHTHEFEMMES. This race may be over, but the momentum sure as hell isn’t. 💛 Keep watching.
