#WATCH | Bikaner House exhibition and photo removal controversy involving Raihan Vadra: Bikaner House Management Society issues statement, says, "The exhibition and associated activities must comply with Bikaner House Management Society Policy. Certain photographs displayed as part of Mr Raihan Vadra’s exhibition, “No Idea Is Final,” at Bikaner House were found to be inconsistent with the policy of the Bikaner House Management Society. Accordingly, their removal was requested. The photographs that are consistent with the Society’s policy have been continued to be displayed."
#WATCH | Delhi: On the Bikaner House Exhibition and photo removal controversy, Raihan Vadra, son of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra, says, "Yesterday, my show was supposed to open at 7 pm. The show was called 'No Idea is Fine'. 24 hours before it was to open, I was first approached by the Bikaner House management and told that some of the images are against their policy. I said, 'Let me know which ones; let's have a discussion. I didn't hear back from them till the next day... when the Deputy Resident Commissioner reached out and said that we have to remove all these images, which were street photography images of the youth movements in Delhi over the last year. I said, 'I shared the layout a week earlier; why didn't you bring it up earlier?' They said, 'We couldn't see the layout.' So I said, 'You still had 1 week to tell me you couldn't see the layout. I would have sent it; we could have had the discussion earlier. Now, in 4-5 hours, what am I going to do?' I asked them to give it to me in writing as to why they are removing these photographs, individual reasons; they didn't. Then at 3 pm, the head of Bikaner House, the principal resident commissioner, came, and he also said the same thing. I also said the same thing to him. He said, 'Your policy says political content'. For the most part, I had removed imagery of political parties and of political leaders. Maybe there were a few photographs; I said, 'We could discuss. If they are against your policy, I'll replace them.' He said, "No, none of these 70 images will be put up.' They sent me a notice at 3.30 saying, 'If you don't remove it by 5 PM, the building is sealed, and the exhibition is canceled.' Then we complied. We flipped the photographs. So you could only see the back of the frame. They had a problem with that. We took those down, piled them up on the side. They had a problem with that. We put them in storage. I left two photos of the Indian flag, and they said, 'Take it down.' I said, 'This can't be against your policy. How can it be against your policy?' I said, 'Give it to me in writing that you want me to take down a picture of the Indian flag.' They didn't. So those were there, and then I went home to change. They took one down themselves. So one is remaining, if you had seen it."

Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam: State Education Minister N. Samsudheen says, "The intention is to ensure that everyone is represented on the Waqf Board. However, there are several conditions and quotas that must be followed. There are specific quotas for MLAs, MPs, women, Mutawallis, Islamic scholars, and social workers. When these quotas are filled, it becomes difficult to accommodate everyone at the same time. Our intention was to ensure inclusive representation. Minority Welfare, Haj, and Waqf all come under the broader framework, and there are various committees within these areas. Our policy is to consider everyone while making appointments across these committees. When the Waqf Board appointments were made, complaints arose that certain people had not been accommodated. That was natural. We held discussions, and some adjustments were made. I am not going to say who will resign or where. We felt the need to reconsider the matter. It would not be right to say that there was pressure. Every organisation has its own perspective, and when grievances or complaints arise, the government's policy is to address them. Once we understood that there were concerns, we took steps to resolve them.”

#WATCH | Delhi: On the CJP campaigns, RSS leader Indresh Kumar says, "...These protests aren't just continuing; rather, the participants keep abandoning old issues to latch onto new ones. So, let’s focus on the core question: are they trying to bring about a situation in India similar to what we see in Bangladesh—a regime characterised by anarchy, the oppression of minorities, the massacre of those who follow the path of Sufism, and the displacement of decent, ordinary people? This is the most significant and pressing issue of the moment. I ask everyone: where do these young people, and others involved—get the funding for all this? It is becoming increasingly obvious to the world, which is why you can see that the turnout at these protests is dwindling; participation is clearly on the decline..." On the campaign's use of the national flag, he further adds, "They are incapable of delivering on their grand announcements nationwide. The party, or rather, the coalition of parties, running the Government of India is merely repeating what has already been done; the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative has already reached crores of households. What new thing are they even proposing? It’s all a sham. They seem to think they can use the Tricolor as a tool for blackmail, but the reality is that on occasions like January 26th, August 15th, and October 2nd, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign has only deepened the respect for the Tricolor among crores of families. The Tricolor is a symbol that unites; these people, however, are misusing it to sow division. Nothing will come of it."

#WATCH | Delhi: Andrzej Domański, Poland's Minister of Finance and Economy, says, "Prime Minister Tusk had many really important meetings with political leaders. Of course, he had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Modi, but there were also discussions with business leaders. From New Delhi, we are flying to Bengaluru to hold further meetings with the ICT sector. We are here together with leaders of the Polish space industry and the Polish IT sector, and we are seeking greater cooperation with Indian companies. I believe that our trade can increase significantly. Poland is currently the fastest-growing economy in Europe, and India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. This is a win-win situation for both of us."

#WATCH | Delhi: On Rahul Gandhi's 'anti-constitutional cult' remark targeting the RSS, RSS leader Indresh Kumar says, "The reality is this: The Congress is responsible for the partition of this country. Ever since then, they have persisted in spreading lies about the RSS, not just mere falsehoods, but claims that are entirely baseless and nonsensical... On one hand, they claim that women within the RSS are with them, while on the other, they assert that women in the RSS are oppressed. The level of respect that an RSS swayamsevak and the Sangh Parivar accord to Nari Shakti is far greater than anything the Congress could ever offer; they don't even come close..." On remarks made by Priyank Kharge on Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, he adds, "The truth is, they have never been part of the Sangh, nor have they ever truly understood or witnessed it. It has become a habit for them to stand at a distance, while sitting in their own glass houses, and throw stones. Everyone knows what the Sangh was, and everyone knows what the Sangh is today. Therefore, his allegations are both baseless and unfounded. He ought to look at his own record. Gandhiji had once advised the Congress that they should dissolve the Congress and form a new political party. They did not even listen to their own leaders..."

This year, in response to requests from our local runners, a dedicated prize category has been introduced for them, aimed at promoting sports here... I had the opportunity to participate in the first two marathons myself. Unfortunately, I will not be taking part in this third edition, but I will be there to flag off the event..."

#WATCH | Delhi: On Delhi Police denying permission for Diljit Dosanjh's concert at JLN Stadium, Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bhardwaj says, "It is India's misfortune that when an industrialist makes money or a star becomes a superstar, they start fearing the government. You don't see this in other countries. But Diljit Dosanjh is among the few artists who raised his voice for farmers when they were sitting at the borders and for students when police allegedly used brutality against them... I believe the government is sending a message to superstars that if they speak against it, their work will be shut down... Because of such actions, Diljit Dosanjh will become a superhero for the youth..."

#WATCH | Mumbai: Lawyer Ajinkya Mirgal Madhukar says, "They were brought here from Delhi on transit remand. Today, they were produced before the court while in custody. Upon being presented, they were asked whether they had any complaints against the police or anything else to say. They stated that they had no complaints. However, one point that emerged was the allegation that they had supplied weapons. Yet, the remand report did not disclose any specific details regarding these weapons; only a pistol was mentioned. There was no information about whether the pistol was country-made or foreign-made, nor was its specific type described. Another issue that our counsel also argued concerned the consideration involved. A weapon, such as a pistol, is not a trivial item like a toy gun or a firecracker-shooting toy that one might simply distribute... The prosecution later argued that, since mobile phones had been seized, they needed to trace the trail of information contained within them. However, conducting a forensic examination of the data on the mobile phones does not require the individuals to be held in physical custody. Since the mobile phones had already been seized, the data could be recovered from them. Therefore, there was no necessity for the individuals to remain in physical custody. Since physical custody was not deemed necessary, the judge, after considering all these points and hearing the arguments from both sides, granted police custody until the 26th, even though the request had been for custody until the 31st."
