September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month. About 45,240 people in the US will be diagnosed this year, but survival is high, around 98%, and above 99% for localized papillary and follicular cases. A neck lump, hoarseness, or trouble swallowing are worth mentioning to a doctor.
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma often start with subtle signs like persistent fatigue, easy bruising, or swollen lymph nodes. If symptoms persist, encourage timely evaluation. Early detection matters.
