Peter Schiff believes gold is building solid support around $4,000 and is preparing for another big move higher after pulling back from its record high near $5,600. While rising bond yields and Fed rate hikes have weighed on sentiment, he argues real interest rates remain deeply negative as inflation continues to outpace policy rates. He expects higher yields to ultimately become a tailwind for gold, predicting that ballooning interest costs on the national debt will eventually force the Fed to stop hiking and restart quantitative easing.
