One thing about Castlevania that it has made absolutely apparent (it was already) is that the culture war is entirely performative. I have always been someone to callout forced political agenda’s in media where it existed. OW2’s diversity chart, Dragon Age the Veilguards non-binary pandering, She-Hulk putting down men, etc. But none of that exists here, Rose is not a girlboss Mary Sue that never fails and puts down men (in fact she thinks her father is the greatest) she’s objectively conventionally attractive, so is Carmella. People will cry woke like the boy who cried wolf and that’s why nobody takes any of you seriously even when you eventually have a point, because it’s lost all meaning and you don’t know what a game made by performative activists ACTUALLY looks like, because it’s not this. Most of these people don’t actually care or know what they’re talking about, just grifters using buzzwords.
