The San Francisco Police Department has purchased Israeli surveillance technology that has been used to monitor Palestinians in East Jerusalem.
"The SFPD, which began using BriefCam in August, paid $198,000 for a three-year contract, using federal grant funds"
"The SFPD can use BriefCam to review thousands of hours of video feed from live and recorded footage from a combination of sources, including its nearly 500 Flock cameras, privately accessed camera networks, and other city-run or -owned cameras."
