Every company weighing a relocation or expansion asks the same question, no matter what sites are on the shortlist: where will my employees live?
Katie Kirkpatrick put it plainly on @Bloomberg Businessweek from the @Chase for Business Make Your Move Summit in Barrow County. A big part of site selection comes down to what it costs employees to live near the job and how long it takes them to get there. As Katie noted on Bloomberg, our former board chair Ryan Marshall of @PulteGroupNews reminds us that every two new jobs require one new home.
Metro Atlanta isn’t waiting for that question to become a dealbreaker. Georgia has been the top state for business for 13 years running, and MAC is working alongside many of our partners on a regional housing strategy. Because we see housing as an economic imperative.
We can’t talk about business growth without talking about housing.

Critical missions. Advanced technology. Global Impact. Built right here in metro Atlanta. ✈️
At its Marietta, Georgia, facility, @LockheedMartin has delivered the first C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft for new U.S. Navy missions.
The aircraft will help the Navy communicate critical commands to its nuclear-armed submarines, even during a national emergency.
It’s another example of the advanced manufacturing, defense innovation and industry expertise that make metro Atlanta a key player in the nation’s aerospace and defense ecosystem.
