'Forgotten Island' is definitely an achievement worth celebrating, but Filipino storytelling does not begin nor does it end here. We have to take it upon ourselves to add to the narrative and tell the story of the Filipino as we know it. rappler.com/people/forgotten…

Just restocked the foreign language comics bin with a batch of books from Mexico! Panini, the publisher, does amazing work, with high quality card stock, matte finish, and unique foil variants that are often nicer than the US printings.

Saw #ForgottenIsland w/ some of the @FilAmCreatorCon crew @AaronNabus and Alicia! This movie is about Filipino culture, life, legend and it was awesome. Beautiful animation mixed w/ good laughs and touching scenes. Highly recommended!

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan. Didn’t land that job, didn’t get into a con, or didn’t get accepted to your dream school. Rejection stings—it’s only natural to feel disappointed. But I try to remind myself: this wasn’t THE opportunity, just one of many in my journey.

Hey, friend -
I fail more than I succeed.
There's a running to-do list of things to be accomplished.
There's a list of friends that I need to make time for.
All of this could easily send me spiraling - and sometimes does!
But, the thing that keeps me going? (continued)
