If anyone tells you they understand Nigeria, just tell them off! We say there is hunger in the land and North is having the highest number of the vulnerable. Just imagine this wedding. A lady gave the couple $20,000 while others were removing their gold and dropped them for the couples! I mean raw gold!!!!! I am not saying people should not celebrate but how are they giving back to the people who are not privileged? How many factories are they building? How many scholarship to take children out of the street to school? Congratulations to the couple! Happy married life!

Remember Mama Lola Akande, the popular Aṣọ Òkè Ambassador? She's really working hard to put Nigeria on the good side of the world. Here she celebrates two Young Yorùbá Authors, Rumaysa and Amaar Sobayo In Sweden. These kids already have the writing skill of Professor Wọlé Soyinka at their age and they got a good mother that recognised their talents really early. While some are releasing their people from prison, others are recognising young authors. Similar roles but Ìrònú ó pá pọ.

25 October 1973, Nigeria broke diplomatic relations with Israel. It was General Yakubu Gowon who ordered it. Now why did Gowon do it? Listen and read carefully. It was not because Nigeria hated Israel. In fact, Nigeria and Israel had been friends before 1960. Israel had helped Nigeria with agriculture, education, medicine and technology. Many Nigerians had trained in Israel. The relationship was cordial. But in October 1973, the Yom Kippur War broke out between Israel and Egypt, and Israel pushed its troops beyond the 1967 ceasefire lines and held on to Egyptian territory, especially the Sinai. For Africa, that was a red line. Egypt is an African country. The Sinai is African land. The Organisation of African Unity, the OAU, had already passed a resolution that member states should cut relations with Israel if Israel refused to give up occupied Arab lands and return to the 1967 lines. And who was the Chairman of the OAU at that time. It was Gowon himself. He had become Chairman on 27 May 1973. So Gowon was in a tight corner. How could he be the Chairman of Africa and still keep quiet while African land was being occupied. How could he preach African unity and African liberation, and still keep full friendship with a country that Africa had condemned. Gowon himself had said it earlier that year. He said Nigeria would break relations with any country that treated Africa or Nigeria as a nonentity. He said, if Israel does not heed the OAU pleas and advice to relinquish occupied Arab lands, we will have no choice but to take steps we deem fit. When Israel advanced beyond the ceasefire lines, Gowon took that step. On that day, 25 October 1973, at 1pm in Lagos, the Federal Military Government announced that Nigeria had broken relations with Israel. The Israeli ambassador was told only one hour before the public announcement. So the reason was simple, but it was powerful. Gowon ordered the break because Israel was occupying Egyptian territory, because Africa had agreed to stand together on this, and because as OAU Chairman, Gowon could not lead Africa with his mouth and betray Africa with his hands. It was a decision of African solidarity, and a decision to defend the principle that no country should keep land it took by force, especially African land. Nigeria paid a price for it, because we lost a useful friend. But Gowon believed that Nigeria, as the giant of Africa, must stand with Africa first. That is why, in 1973, Nigeria broke with Israel, and relations were not restored until September 1992, under Babangida. Now You Know

🫡🇳🇬🪖 Air Insertion. Silent. Lethal. Unforgiving. That is the SF way. Air Insertion is one of the most difficult military operations to execute. It is not just jumping from a plane. It is jumping into the unknown. Into darkness. Into danger. Into enemy territory where there is no backup, no retreat, and no second chance. You jump with your weapon, your gear, and your training. And you pray. The Nigerian Military trains for this. Every day. Every night. Every mission. Our Special Forces deploy to the most dangerous locations behind enemy lines, deep in the forest, into the heart of terrorist camps to get the job done without noise. Before the enemy even knows they are there. Before the enemy can react. Before the enemy can blink. That is what SF does. They do not fight for glory. They fight in silence. They fight in the shadows. They fight when no one is watching. And when they are done, they vanish. No headlines. No parades. Just the knowledge that the mission was accomplished. #ThankASoldier #ForGodAndCountryAlways
Joining the Special Forces (SF) family in the Nigerian 🇳🇬 Army is not for the weak. It demands exceptional courage, mental toughness, discipline, resilience and an unbreakable spirit. It's not just about wearing the uniform; it's about enduring what many cannot withstand. Not everyone is built for the SF life. 🇳🇬💪

You approached the police to seek approval for your rally. Police said no because of security concerns. You went ahead anyway. Chaos broke out, and a man was killed. Worse, you recorded it and posted it online. You will do jail, and nothing will save you.

Turkey has sold $36bn in gold & foreign reserves this year to defend lira, yet its currency keeps falling. Nigeria could have spent ½ that amount defending naira, mostly with borrowed money. One day, you’ll appreciate Tinubu & Cardoso. For now, keep basking in ignorance.
