Breast Cancer Awareness Month can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s a trigger — 31 days in the fall of pink-ribbon reminders of a disease that forever changed them. A pleasure to speak last week to UN Inter-agency colleagues from both #Africa and #Americas and the #Carribeans regions working on disability inclusive care agenda initiatives and Joint programmes. While presenting insights from global initiatives on intersectional approach to hashtag#Gender and hashtag#DisabilityInclusion, I highlighted the critical importance of both cross-regional and intra-regional knowledge exchanges, South-South and Triangular Cooperation, #SSTC, and innovative collaboration for both acknowledging informal unpaid care work, recognizing care work linked to disability justice and accessibility and ensuring gender equality and empowerment of women from all diversity.  Intersectional approach can make a difference in promoting #humanrights #economicempowerment #WEE and #non-discrimnation agenda. We must do more with more in both families, communities, social sectors and in public policy to ensure real economic empowerment.

Harnessing full potentials and leadership skills of young women is critical for inclusive human development and prosperity across the regions. Hence, together with Women Legislative Caucasus Liberia #WLCL it was a real pleasure to launch 4-month long Legislative Mentorship and Internship Initiative staring with 23 young Liberian Women. This would contribute to develop leadership skills, and individual knowledge in furthering tbe inclusive future we want in #Africa, #Liberia and beyond. #ForAllWomenAndGirls. @unwomenafrica

Very pleased to join and speak at the official rollout the Gender Promotion Initiative 2.0, known as GPI 2.0, under the theme "Strengthen Her Voice." @unwomenliberia will lead the implementation in close collaboration with the Government and other key partners.
