Here’s my take. If you know the £4000 will cover all of the ers NIC for the year don’t claim through JRS. If you know that for the rest of the year you will use EA against ers NIC then hold EA claim and use later in the year. Seems fair to me.

Ok the latest date to amend returns for 18/19 already submitted for the purpose of self employed grant was 26 March. “We will not take into account any changes made to submitted returns after 26 March 2020, when working out your eligibility or amount of grant”. #fairenough

CONFIRMED self-employed limited company directors CAN be furloughed as employees on their PAYE element, even if theyre sole employee.
Technically they can't then work for the firm, but can continue to perform their statutory obligations as directors eg official legal filings etc
