We mourn the loss of Lakewood Police Agent Nic Graham, who was killed in the line of duty yesterday.
According to police, the incident began earlier in the day with a hit-and-run. Officers later located a suspect. The suspect boarded a bus, and agents followed. Police say the suspect opened fire when agents contacted him. Agents returned fire, and the suspect was killed.
Four Lakewood agents were shot. Agent Graham died from his injuries, three other agents were wounded, and a bystander was also injured.
Agent Graham joined the Lakewood Police Department in 2019. He was 33 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to Agent Graham’s loved ones, colleagues, and the Lakewood community.
Rest in peace, Agent Graham. Thank you for your service.
