Yesterday, @CTV reached out to interview me in the wake of over $700,000 worth of fraudulent artwork being pulled off the Canadian market. They wanted to understand how the digital age is changing how art is created, copied and sold. The concern? An "arms race" — fraud detection on one side, AI-controlled painting robots on the other. Ending with fake art no one can detect. It's a fair concern, and one I have to take seriously, given that I run a company building the most sophisticated art replication technology in existence today. I told Kamil Karamali that the question isn't whether it gets built, it's who builds it and under what rules. Ours are simple. As our robots get better, we double down on our three C's: consent, credit, and fair compensation. That means never training on an artist's data without explicit written consent, staying on the cutting edge of fraud detection, and making chain of provenance a priority for every work we produce.
