1/7 A thread on some changes in topics in my X posts. For 10 years, my X account was devoted to only patents, innovation, tech & science. I am continuing these posts, as I did today with a post on the anniversary of #patent issuing on Tupperware in 1954. But more is required now.
Holy crap, Jon Stewart just referred to Israel as an "autocracy" that is the same as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Jordan. Israel is the *only* Western democracy operating under the rule of law compared to these other regimes; it has an election in one week in which all citizens freely vote no matter their religion, gender, etc., and all citizens have equal civil rights.
It's hard to believe that 20 years ago, I liked Jon Stewart and respected him even when I disagreed with him on the Daily Show on Comedy Central. Since then, he's completely addled his brain with his toxic ideology of wokism and self-hating antisemitism.
Hen Mazzig is 100% correct.
If it was 1932, Mehdi Hasan would be saying "Jews are one of the main reasons why prices are so high."
Mehdi is just lucky he was born after 1948 so he can say "Israel" and even after the 1960s, so he can use the Soviet propaganda term "Zionists."

🚨 THE ABDUL EL-SAYED STORY JUST GOT MUCH HARDER TO DISMISS
The New York Times is now reporting that Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed signed a 2012 letter supporting Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s “revolutionary decisions” during the Muslim Brotherhood’s brief rule of Egypt.
The letter called on Morsi to “purge the media and the police as quickly as possible.”
It was published just days after Morsi issued a sweeping decree shielding his decisions from judicial review — a move condemned at the time as an authoritarian power grab.
El-Sayed has denied having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and his campaign declined to answer the Times’ questions about the letter.
At some point, the question becomes unavoidable:
How many documented connections does it take before voters are entitled to start asking whether there is a pattern?

When you hear about the 74K civilians killed in Gaza, such as when NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Americans have a duty to mourn all these deaths, remember that their number includes innocent grandmothers like this woman.

The evidence of Israeli crimes just keeps piling up.
Here's another totally unstaged clip of snipers hitting innocent Gazan kids, complete with zero sound effects and with the IDF soldiers clearly visible just out of frame💔

BREAKING: A video released has shattered the
'settler violence' narrative. A group of Arab men confronting Israelis harvesting olives, while dozens of journalists stand nearby, cameras ready.
That's not reporting the news. That's manufacturing it.

People waving Israeli flags aren’t smashing people’s businesses and burning their cities in Europe.
Just an observation.

Brad traveled around the world to “harvest olives.”
Brad has never traveled around the world to meet the families of any October 7th victims.
Weird.
I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee).
But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They should all be released immediately.
To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestinians’ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
We’ll update on their status as soon as we hear.

🚨 WOW: Abdul El-Sayed opened tonight's debate with "I'm a doctor." Here's what he left out.
He never did a residency.
He has NEVER been licensed to practice medicine in Michigan or New York.
He can't legally treat a patient or write a prescription.
Michigan law defines a physician as someone LICENSED to practice medicine.
He has a degree. He doesn't have a license.
Michigan, vote Mike Rogers.

Imagine flying into L.A. from xyz country, and then taking a bus up the interstate to one of the strawberry fields along the coast, and then picking strawberries to "show solidarity" with the Guatemalans picking strawberries, and then being told by the sheriff or cops you had to go back to your luxury hotel in Santa Monica because you don't have a work permit.
Replying to @bradlander
@bradlander was detained for violating the terms of his tourist visa
There are no countries or war zones where you can show up and start working unauthorized on a tourist visa
Lander is lying and telling folks he was arrested for harvesting olives
