Good to see a CogSciSci alums ideas breaking through. Adam has been talking about predictive processing at our conferences the last few years. His insights and argument are compelling. He wrote a blog on our website outlining the basics
Been reading a lot about predictive processing and I think it's almost certainly going to be the next frontier of learning science and instructional design, particularly with the emergence of LLMs. One of the best voices on this from an education perspective is @AdamWteach and this is another great post from him: open.substack.com/pub/predic…

The end of the 2025 term meant a bit of a SM hiatus for me. After my final school visit, SM was discarded (as too were emails and anything work) - sometimes the need for a clean break is so overwhelming - and recognising the signs of burnout are crucial. But, having had a few weeks away from posting selfies outside every location I visit, I'm 'back', somewhat! I'm going to kick off by sharing my 6 hours worth of free PD that I ran over June and July. Within the 6 sessions, I explored metacognitive theory, questioning, modelling, revision, independence and so much more. All of these session are still free to access, and all hosted on my websites. Moreover, all of the session slides are there too - all free to access. So if you're looking for some summer PD, this might be the place to go! mrmetacognition.com/individu…
