Our women speakers, from a safe house in Tigray and a one-stop center in Amhara, had so much heartbreak to share. Clearly, conflict related sexual violence goes beyond other forms of gender based violence as it intends to punish and/or humiliate individuals and their communities.
Panel moderated by @HannaLemma8 included Zekarias Desalgn, @Ethiopia_MoWsa
Abeba Haile, Women’s Association of Tigray, & Medina Workineh, Dessie’s One-Stop Center as panelists.
The panel discussed vulnerabilities and measures to protect women and girls during conflicts. #16Days
