Česká technologie v ostrém nasazení na lunární orbitě! Kosmické záření představuje pro zdraví posádky obrovské riziko. Šest speciálních čipů, jejichž technologie původně vznikla pro urychlovač částic v CERNu, monitoruje složení kosmického záření a tím astronauty mise Artemis II pomáhá chránit. Jsou srdcem systému HERA (Hybrid Electronic Radiation Assessor).
🔬 Na rozdíl od běžných detektorů české senzory Timepix v reálném čase identifikují každou jednotlivou částici záření, určí její typ, energii i směr.
⚠️ Data umožňují okamžitě vyhodnotit rizika. V případě náhlého zhoršení vesmírného počasí (např. solární erupce) dají posádce čas se uchýlit do chráněných částí lodi.
📏 Inženýři díky těmto datům sledují, jak efektivně trup lodi Orion pohlcuje různé druhy záření a jak bezpečná bude cesta pro budoucí mise směřující na Měsíc.
Využití české technologie je obrovským úspěchem pro firmu @AdvacamC a celý český kosmický sektor. NASA chce pražské čipy využít i při pokusu o přistání na Měsíci a pro chystanou lunární stanici Gateway. 🇨🇿
