Aston Villa, Nassef Sawiris and the rules of the game. #AVFC
3-0 Barca FT.
Interesting game tonight. Barcelona are one of the two best teams in the world, it would have been extraordinary had we gotten anything tonight, an achievement bigger than anything Unai has achieved at #AVFC so far.
The disappointment is that we didn’t really make them work for it. Terrible decision making all over the pitch all night and poor technique when it mattered most.
I thought Bouba Kamara was our best player by a distance. Pau and Lindelof were fine as well. They were the only ones who didn’t look out of their depth.
Could go through and critique different players but what’s the point, it’s Barcelona away. Most of them looked and played like they were shocked to be there at all.
A somewhat painful but good experience for a lot of them. Could have been better - could have been an awful lot worse.
Still well placed in the league, goal difference didn’t get knocked too badly.
On to United at the weekend - typical they get a morale boosting victory right before we play them 🙄. UTV. #AVFC

Ok, so yesterday we were all told
“there’s no narrative against Villa”
“All clubs get the same”
Ok, I’ve just watched the Villa Fulham game on @SkySportsPL and after the game jamie redknapp and @leehendrie77 spent a good 10 minutes, not talking about the game, not talking about how well Fulham did. No
They spent 10 minutes talking about the managerial position at man utd and asking
“Why wouldn’t Emery take the UTD job”
Yeah, there’s definitely no narrative is there! Man U shouldn’t even be a subject when analysing a villa Fulham game! According to you lot nobody gives a fuck about watching those games so why would Utd fans be turning on to listen to it?
