It was a pleasure to work with the team at the European Environmental Bureau to develop this interactive data viewer.
At Aether we believe that data becomes more meaningful when it is graphically represented so we are very pleased to share this is ready to explore!
How much do you know about coal mining in Europe? 🇪🇺⛏
Not much?
Never fear! The new EU Mine Data Viewer is here to help
Learn about:

Aether is currently in Rwanda holding a national workshop on #ClimateAction transparency. This is part of the project to provide technical support to the Regional Climate Action Transparency Hub for countries of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
This project, funded by @ICATclimate and with @Fokabs3, aims to establish a regional hub of expertise on climate transparency in the region, providing training events, knowledge sharing, and supporting a network of experts. More about our ECCAS work - lnkd.in/eKf_VhnX
📌Part 10 and final part of our Barriers to #NetZero blog series: Hive helpfulness. Our collective journey is awash with criticism on how net zero should happen. If we adopted the helpfulness of the hive, we would get to net zero faster.

🥳 We're 15 years old today🥳 Thank you to all of our employees, colleagues, collaborators, clients - past and present! We're incredibly proud of everyone at Aether contributing to make the company what it is today.
It's the end of the week in Brussels for the reviews of the AQ emission inventories of EU Member States under the National Emission reduction Commitments Directive. It's always a pleasure to see our colleagues across Europe in-person again, & our thanks to DG Env for hosting us.
The reviews aim to ensure the completeness, accuracy, comparability, consistency and transparency of the calculations. This is important so they can be confidently used as the evidence base for AQ policies, and for assessing compliance with the emission reduction commitments.
Aether staff are involved in reviews of AQ and GHG emissions inventories under various international legislation, as sector experts, lead reviewers, quality control team, and secretariat.

📢 Barriers to #NetZero part 8: Integrity in Profiteering. How can we define accountability if no one is accounting?
Decisions are being made on a daily basis that are increasing emissions but no one is regulating these increases against the budgets set.

📢 Barriers to Net Zero part 6: Integrity in Profiteering. In a free market economy we expect to see profiteering in the green industry. But when competitive advantage is the primary motivator to net zero, integrity of actions will become less transparent. aether-uk.com/News/May-2023/…
