After topping out at $1.8M, $monerochan is getting sold off hard in this choppy market. A few more thoughts on why I still find it interesting 👇
1. The character has been around for a decade. Dozens of artists have drawn and reinterpreted her, but there’s no lead artist, much like $XMR has no founder. She belongs to the community, not to one person.
2. She’s the perfect mascot for a chain that has often felt too underground and insular. A friendly face could make monero more approachable without diluting what it stands for.
3. AI characters will likely keep getting a bid as creative tools improve, so it could be fun to take her in that direction, like Claudia, Zerebro, or Ava last cycle.
4. As I said before, a monero altpair makes sense: it deepens $XMR liquidity on solana, which is the easiest way for retail to get an exposure without worrying about regulatory pressure.
