For generations, Freddie Jackson’s voice was the soundtrack to love. The slow dances, the Sunday cleanups and the songs our families played so much became apart of our memories too.
Today, we remember the Harlem born R&B legend whose timeless records like “You Are My Lady,” “Rock Me Tonight” and “Have You Ever Loved Somebody” helped define an era and gave us a soundtrack for loving out loud.
We dug into the Vault and found Freddie Jackson performing “You Are My Lady” for BET on Jazz in 2001. A voice, a song and a legacy that will live on.
