"I was pulled over Wednesday morning by a TN State Trooper. When he came up to the car he asked 'Why are the two boys in the back seat not in car seats?' My answer was the two little boys were my foster sons who I had just got the night before. I showed him paper work and explained to him that when I got them they had the clothes they were wearing and that is about it. No carseat, no toys, no coats, and so on. He was very nice to the kids and to me. He asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him. His wife called me and asked about the boys. This morning Officer Tidwell met me in Waverly, him and his wife had purchased gifts for the boys. Not just the two boys in the back seat but, their older brother too. I cannot thank him enough for the kindness he has shown these three boys. I never asked him for anything. He and his wife acted out of the kindness of their hearts. He showed these boys that there are very nice cops out there and I hope he has left a lasting impression on them that cops are good. The boys have been telling everyone that 'cops are nice.' He has made their day. You hear way too much negative stuff now days so, here is some good news for you all." HT Tennessee Highway Patrol

Thanks Bonnie Boden.
Now would be a good time to remind everyone of these Trump facts, because apparently some people still need the refresher. Please meet the President of the United States: Flew on Epstein’s plane at least seven times. Just friends, I guess. Pleaded the Fifth more than 400 times in a single deposition. Nothing says “innocent” like refusing to answer a single question about your own business. 34 felony convictions. A record most people would call disqualifying. And 91 criminal charges. Accused of sexual misconduct or assault by at least 26 women. But sure, tell me again how he’s a great guy. 6 corporate bankruptcies. The self proclaimed greatest businessman alive somehow keeps running out of money. 5 draft deferments. Funny how the toughest guy in the room never actually showed up for duty. He said "not for me" when asked to defend his country. 4 criminal indictments. Not two. Not three. Four . 2 impeachments. A club of exactly one president. 2 of his own companies convicted of criminal tax fraud. Convicted. Not accused. Convicted. 1 fake university shut down. 1 fake charity shut down. Even his charity was a grift. Paid 25 million dollars to settle the Trump University fraud lawsuit because scamming people who believed in you costs money eventually. Ordered to pay 5 million dollars in the first E Jean Carroll sexual abuse verdict, then hit with 83.3 million more in the second. A jury said it twice so nobody could pretend it was a fluke. Ordered to pay 2 million dollars for looting his own so called charity. Stealing from a charity with his own name on it. Found liable for business fraud and originally slapped with a penalty topping 450 million dollars, later thrown out on appeal while the fraud finding itself stuck to him anyway. First president in modern history to increase the deficit every single year of a full term. Fiscal responsibility, apparently, was always just a talking point. HE PERSONALLY OWNS 30% OF THE NATIONAL DEBT. Kept the debt to GDP ratio above 100 percent for his entire first term. Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money. Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. Encore nobody asked for. ONLY PRESIDENT WITH THREE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWNS. Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars. Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again. Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway. Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back. Efficient, if your goal is chaos. Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters on his very first day back in office, including Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy. Law and order, except when it’s inconvenient. At least 400 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody. His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office. Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets. Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone. Then bragged about lower crime rates in said states. His own tariffs are projected to cost the average American household more than 2,500 dollars this year. You’re paying for this. Not China. You. No more foreign wars. Peace deal with Russia and Ukraine on Day One. Now sitting at one of the lowest approval ratings of his second term, stuck in the high 30s while inflation and gas prices make everyday life harder. None of this is a conspiracy theory, a rumor, or something you saw in a group chat. It is the actual, documented record, sitting in plain sight for anyone willing to look. So the next time someone tells you to relax and give him a chance, ask them how many more indictments, judgments, and shutdown records he needs to rack up before that chance runs out. Robert S Warner

I’ve had a number of messages asking to comment on the Lear crash. I’ve learned who the crew was, I did not know them, but I’m going to give them the respect and reverence they should be given. They were two young pilots out there doing what they loved to do. I also agree with everything Adam is saying here. I’m sick of the constant flow of negativity every time a female or minority is involved in an accident or incident. It’s too bad people are allowed to hide behind anonymous usernames.
A plane crashes in Florida, lives are lost, and within HOURS the blue-checkmark crowd is blaming a female pilot and screaming “DEI.” Here's the problem: They don't understand how a two-pilot cockpit works. As a pilot, I'm disgusted. Watch this before you embarrass yourself.

This is a must-read, from a man who defected from the Communist bloc to the USA 40 years ago. "What worries me the most is not Trump himself or those who do his bidding, but rather the willingness of so many ordinary citizens to look away." theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…

The Royal Canadian Legion is honoured to present Mrs. Virginia Hicks, from the community of Frankford, Ontario, as this year’s National Silver Cross Mother. On November 11, she will place a wreath at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. “Her presence on behalf of all mothers is so incredibly meaningful,” says Sharon McKeown, Dominion President. “In sharing her daughter’s story, we are all reminded with deep gratitude, of the incredible sacrifice of those who give their lives in service to our country. We will remember her.” Mrs. Hicks’ daughter, Sapper Mariebeth Short served with 2 Combat Engineering Regiment, based in Petawawa, Ontario. Born on January 23, 1980, in Comox, British Columbia, she grew up in a family with a history of military service – including that of her mother. Mariebeth was killed on September 23, 2002, during a training exercise on the Matawa Plains in Petawawa. The exercise was a recap, a part of the overall intensive training the Sappers completed to learn everything possible about LAVs (light armoured vehicles). The vehicle she was traveling in that day rolled, and she did not survive. legion.ca/news/articles/2026…

I've heard a few stories from people who make it a point to trick-or-treat at Christopher Walken's house, because he doesn't decorate or dress up. What he does is take a single dining room chair, and sit in the middle of his driveway with a bowl of candy on his knee. And when people approach him, he takes out once single piece, hands it over, doesn't blink, and whispers weird things like "Watch out for the leaves. They're... slippery." lol

In 1960, doctors told Édith Piaf she was gravely ill. She was told to rest. But her beloved L’Olympia theatre in Paris was facing bankruptcy. A few weeks earlier Charles Dumont and Michel Vaucaire had brought her a new song: ‘Non, je ne regrette rien.’ She heard it once and claimed it as her own. On December 29th, “the little sparrow” walked onto the stage, motionless in her black dress, and sang with unforgettable conviction. That night she saved a theatre. Frail in body, indomitable in spirit, she remains one of the greatest singers of all time.

🇨🇦 CANADIAN NOTABLE BIRTHDAYS — JOHN CANDY (1950–1994) 🎂 October 31, 1950 — On this day, one of Canada’s most beloved entertainers was born in Newmarket, Ontario. John Candy would have turned 76 today. From his unforgettable characters on SCTV to his iconic performances in Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Spaceballs, and Cool Runnings, Candy had that rare gift of making us laugh until we cried — and sometimes making us cry without a single joke. But what made John Candy truly special wasn’t just his comedic genius. It was his warmth, his humanity, and that unmistakable kindness he brought to the screen. Even when he played the most outrageous characters, there was always something wonderfully genuine about him. He left us far too soon in 1994, at just 43 years old, but the laughter he gave us has never faded. Happy heavenly 76th birthday, John. ❤️ Canada gave the world a lot of great entertainers. We only ever had one John Candy. #JohnCandy #CanadianComedy #GoneButNeverForgotten

“We just want to come here and apologize for everything”. Heartwarming story about a forgotten part of Windsor I discovered for the first time this summer. Nice to read about it's history. Worth a visit if you are passing through Gordie Howe Bridge. thestar.com/gift-redeem?t=90…

Historian Sarah Paine: When Putin dies, there's no democratic election. It's a free-for-all. Nobody in his network knows who takes over, and many Russians have military training, so civil war is possible. Recovery might take 10 years, a number I'm making up. 1/
